Great guest, and great questions. I have been doing embroidery for almost 5 years, part time and I will say that one of the best investments, was the purchase of a digital thread tension gauge. I know the sweet spot for both top and bobbin threads. There is definitely a difference in tension from color to color as well as pre wound bobbin manufacturers. I also keep a scrap garment hooped, beside my machines that I use to run a quick “I” test prior to sewing a garment if I haven’t used that needle color in a few days. Thank you.
