The lights outside don’t take away from the tree, but when the lights are off the tree looks so warm and cozy. Love it both ways. You always do a wonderful job of making things look just right.

I am an antique dealer and I have over 500 antique chandelier prisms on my tree. I have also made a long garland from some of the smaller crystal pieces. It has taken me almost 40 years to find enough for my 7 ft. Tree. But it is pure magic. When you are out antiquing with your mom, look for the prisms. I love your tree. It really exemplifies your wonderful sense of style. The outdoor display of so many different colored lights-not so much.

I have clear memories as a child at Xmas time. We would drive about 20 miles to the next bigger city to do our shopping and see all the houses that were decorated for the season. I remember thinking the houses with white lights were so boring, why would anyone put up white lights for Xmas? I loved all the bright colors and was mesmerized by them. Now, as a woman with white hair, I love the elegance of the white lights but I remember that little girl and decorate my house with colored lights. I'm sure Aaron and Laura's choice are in part for their children.

Beautiful - so peaceful and seasonal. We started a practice when we got married of getting an ornament when we traveled. Now, decorating the tree is a huge affair with dinner and the inevitable "Oh, remember that trip to Disney Land" or "Look, it's from Russia." or "The starfish you made when you were little". Christmas is the one time I go to the mall. My eldest granddaughter and I start out, looking, shopping, eating, catching a movie, having a good time. Now the other grandkids want the same treatment!

I love the tree placement, I want to go in and explore the space. Please do one thing, if you get snow, please take a picture of the tree lights on with the snow around. What a magical space you created, your kids will have the best memories.

Aaron is a good thinker, he will figure it out but what I was thinking for lightning your Hartley, maybe use outdoor landscape lamps on corners of Hartley and lighting it from beneath up, just to get that slight glow and visibility of structure in dark night, then what ever you place inside would be a "star of the show" 😊

OMG those orange slices bring back bad memories! After watching a video you made a year or two ago making the dehydrated orange wreath I decided to make one myself. It came out great. I hung it over a mirror near my kitchen dining room and then went on a 10 day vacation. When we came back from vacation the wreath and walls and floors were covered in maggots and pantry moths!!!!!! It was horrific. It’s been over a year and it’s only been since cold weather came that I can say moths are gone. We fogged the house twice, have two bug zappers in the house near where wreath was hung, had to take out all kitchen items to look for moths and I did find three moths in some flour but they had not chewed through bag so threw that out, put everything in storage containers in kitchen but still moths came. Went through a second fogging, pulled everything from linen closets in hallway and pictures on walls etc to discover more cacoons, washed everything scrubbed with vinegar etc. you get the idea. It has been a year of battle. The bug zapper and pantry moth traps along with fogging really brought issue down and cold weather. Now I just hope we have done enough so when spring comes we can say we were triumphant. Lesson is DON’T hang dried fruit wreaths inside your home!

I like it both ways, it looks like a tree in an ice palace with the Harley lights on and some of the ornaments you can see better, but off; you catch the richness of the overall effect and it gives you a different ambience! The feelings you get from both are positive and good, just different.

It's perfect and I believe it stands out very well with all the lights on because of all your Beautiful green ornaments and shiny glass ones on the tree.

This is one of the most beautiful Christmas trees I have ever seen. The green of the tree and the oranges. The lights. This is my tree this year.

So so beautiful!😍 But heeyy Laura, a natural Christmas tree in the middle of the circle in front of the Hartley would be perfect too for the birds.
