On my recent surf fishing trip to the NC coast I caught a Bonnet Head Shark. I had never caught one before. It was a beauty. Other than that though I didn’t catch a thing. The other fish just weren’t there at all. It has been like this for several years now. Great video Matt!
Skin So Soft works Great on the Golf Course.. That's all i can say from personal experience Matt.. A Dryer sheet under the brim of your cap deters the NoSeeUms as Well
Quick question beach bomb were i live . You're not allowed to keep bluefish for bait. It's considered a game fish And there is a size limit for keeping them 12 inches.
Great video,🦈🎣,Am. Getting my gear ready for some Beach Monsters up here in Okaloosa on the Emerald Coast, i was at your store 🏬 yesterday, hopeing to meet you, but they told me that u were gone fishing 🎣🦈, i needed some reel spoiling, while i was there getting it Done, i needed a small repair, i have to give a shoutout to Mason and the rest of Beach Bum Outdoors Crew, for taking care of me, very professionalism, i will stop 🛑 by next time am in Alabama,, Stay Safe God Bless,, 🔙,,
Try Avon's 'skin so soft ' bath oil. Back home when I lived in Oregon it works good for ticks fleas biting flies chiggers xcetera so give it a try see if it 😁
Alcohol and Skin so Soft, 50/50 mix in a small spray bottle. Gets them flies, deer flies, flying teeth, skeeters, ,,, try it, you will never regret it...
Cactus 🌵 Jack had some when kids were small an had sun screen in it also. It worked great. Matt watching u fight that shark on that long rod is funny. I think I came up with a new name for the tax man. Surf fisherman's krotch rocket .
Try the babyganics insect repellent. Used it last year in PCB. It worked great. I think it’s at Walmart, or maybe target. Bullseye bug repellent works for em too. We’re headed to PCB in a few weeks. I’ll drop some off at the store for y’all to try out.
The Climate Change PETAs at NOAA outlawed people eating Shark. However they have no problem with Sharks eating people or even using people for a horsderv . They don't even report the number of attacks anymore at the NOAAs demand ,And probably the DOJ .
I remember fishing on the beach in topsail Island North Carolina in October. I drove my truck out. The flies were so bad there were hundreds on the side of my truck and if you had any exposed skin they would bite you instantly. Needless to say I said screw this.
You got to fire up one of them thermos cells it’ll drive everything away they can put it down between their chairs and within 10 minutes they won’t get Bit no more I live close to the Everglades south Florida native Floridian take care brother I was fishing today on the beach
Man I hate those black flies! They are relentless. The worst is fish of shore and they attack your ankles behind the center console when you are driving!! It's a wonder they haven't caused a large amount of boating accidents! God bless the wind when it lays them down!!!
We’ve always called them horse flies NC because they will bite a horses skin and make them kick. We fish Oak Island NC and they came in early this year. The worst!
These aren't horse flies . These are about a quarter size of a horse fly and have a green tint . But horse flies love the heat . It's like the come in from hell every ear.
Really enjoy your surf fishing vids! Can you do a video on your beach cart and what mods you have done to it, with cost and benefits of the mods please?
The County either refuses to fog spray or are clueless or both . The damnblackknats have always eaten people's as out until the wind picks up about noon. But they are either really cheap or dumb not to spray and get rid of the knats The tense flies are different .
"Let me help you. .... Fine, be that way" 😂🤣. ... Classic
Your catch was amazing, Congratulations you are a very successful fisherman.
Hugs and good fishing always!👍

We got em bad in OBX NC, Ben's 100 deet works very well. Spray your shirts with Repel Permethrin too. Works great!
Matt, you might try Avon’s, skin so soft. That works. 🙏🏻🎣
Cutters skintastic works also and is easier to find.
Skin so soft is the best I've found yet.
I too was about to suggest Skin so Soft, I personally have used it for EVERYTHING, including bees
I thought skin so soft was Mary Kay
Thanks, I’m going to try both!!! Skin so soft and skintastic.. Damn those flys !!
Nice catch...good eating there.
THANKS FOR SHARING ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO, MY FRIEND. TIGHT LINES. PS I MISSED THAT PRETTY LITTLE SWEET GAL...
Love seeing them bigger fish 🐟
The black biting flies have been absolutely biblical here in Panama City as well!
Repel 100/Deep Woods Off. Use it frequently and plentifully. Reapply every time your ankles get wet.
Definitely a day killer without it.
Great video Beach Bum definitely a good day on the beach catching shark
My arms are aching just watching you.

It looked like that you were going swimming when you first hooked the sharks!
You keep putting out great videos, thank you so much,, Matt

That crab walk to the camera had me rolling 😂😂
Those flies can be horrible. Btw blacktips and spinners run to the beach because there's a big bull around.
Try Avon's 'skin so soft ' bath oil. Back home when I lived in Oregon it works good for ticks fleas biting flies chiggers xcetera so give it a try see if it 😁
Nice dehooking
Seeing how your first video was about a beach cart . There should be beach cart update, when you upgrade.

You get a thermo cell to help with biting flies. They work awesome.
Skin so soft it works I use it when I go fishing at night down in Florida
How long does the biting fly season last?
To bad for those big biting flies. Your wife and daughter would of had fun. Hope they get to come back and catch some sharks soon.
What is your dehooker? a water shut off valve tool?
love the vids
and can you tell me where you bought the cart
Those flies suck!!!! They have some in the outer banks......been chased off a couple of times!
Suntan lotion that has bronzer in it will keep the flies off of you. Any brand will work.
Some of those flies can bite through Kevlar.
them biting flies are horrible in OBX sometimes.
Looking for saltwater rods 15 foot wat you recommend me thank your
Hey what is that dehooker you're using and where can I get it?
Hey mate get some vinegar in spray bottle that will keep the flys away spray o ur legs great videos thanks georgie from Australia 🇦🇺

They're called noseums!
Or damnknats is what we call them after they bite.
Nice setup! Are you using 50 or 65 lbs braid for your shark rod?
I wanna see Brant's wife catch a shark!
Do you ever keep shark and eat them? Blacktip are great to eat

I think I have hooked may be 15 spinners, and I have never land at one even on big gear
Those are so much fun to catch. Can you please share your tackle setup as fas as leader weight and hook size?

@@jimmyfumbanks6081 thanks for setting me straight
The Gospel according to Matthew:
“Come, follow me and I will make you fishers of men.” 5:59
I agree with the skin so soft
Would like to get up with you to do a fishing trip. What's the best way to contact you?
DemolitionRanch that you??
Really enjoy your surf fishing vids! Can you do a video on your beach cart and what mods you have done to it, with cost and benefits of the mods please?
The flies are called stable flies. They are not fun.
Now take one of those spinners and yak it out 500 yards with a real rod and reel, and have some fun
Speaking of pain, doesn't fighting fish with that pole between your legs cause some discomfort ??
Repel sportsman's max is what we use. Only thing that seems to work.
I've got some cutter 100 that the flys won't be able to handle
Did did you ever try a thermacell for the flies
Too much wind, I tried mine.
It would seem that you need a shorter rod holder, shorter rod butt or longer legs. enjoyed the video.
I wish I could catch one for eat.
I like to see you use live blues or ladyfish. For sharks or whatever will eat.
What rod is that you’re catching the sharks on?
You don’t want to put no Avon on your hands and smell up all your gear
Thermacell works on em pretty good and you don’t have that greasy stuff all over you.

When do the Pompano run?
