HARDSNAKE 💀I love that this is even a thing in scrabble. That 5 phony game is legendary, I think one thing that illustrates is how much variance is in scrabble. You could cheat out 5 big high scoring words without better options and still lose 😯
“Overtall” sounds like a plausible word used to describe luggage that they won’t let you take along with you on a flight. “I’m sorry, sir, but your skis are overtall, and therefore you can’t take them to Switzerland.”
Lol. The most plausible thing I can find that's actually better than TAXON is OXMAN*, which could maybe fly given OXHERD and AXMAN, but high-point 5s are generally pretty well known so seems pretty risky...
This is such a great idea for a video. Very funny. I remember he talked about the Jacknife play on stream and It was one of the funniest stories I've heard. A friend had played it and it got challenged off but Josh saw he could play it in his game and remembered the story and got it to go through. Man he really got away with it against Fagen.
Imagine 350 points worth of fonies* in one game. Happened in a tournament, without Josh being present. The player I referred to previously was very infamous for phonies, until the act was cleaned up.
All this shows that the Int'l 5-point rule, while making it less likely for people to phoney, makes for less interesting youtube videos. (Yes, I consider the 5-point rule more reasonable tbh.)
Fair point. Normally I'd say RYRONTAS is pretty terrible, but given the point in the game where he has a guaranteed win if he lets it stay and a guaranteed loss if he challenges and it's good it's quite reasonable to let it stay.
@@mackmeller If I was playing Josh and he played an alien word like that against me I'd probably let it go... I'm only rated 1450 and his rating is God-like to me
Beautiful, I will definitely be naming my daughter Ryronta
Just be sure to blame Josh and not me when she grows up and asks where the heck her bizarre name came from! ;)
Druffy is just as beautiful
You described a jackhammer, not a jackknife
Good catch, my bad! Next time you’re driving on the highway, beware that a truck may jacknife in front of you :)
When I was a kid a jackknife was a thing you did off a diving board into a pool which created an even bigger splash than a cannonball.

Challenging JACKNIFES is such a Chad move.

Given that "Tal" means "valley" in German, "Overtal" (one L) sounds like a valley in the Swiss Alps.
Fun fact: OVERBIG is a word too!
10:45 "I didn't find anything I could try here, so I just went for the best valid play" 😅

ryrontas and hardsnake did it for me lol. I wouldn't have questioned disgauge. Seems legit in the moment.
Lol yeah... I believe Josh has actually gotten away with disgauge on at least 3 separate occasions. Very plausible, as misgauge is valid.
At what point does this cross the line into bullying? Challenging JACKNIFES* after you yourself got away with JACKNIFE* is just brutal.
The plural of jacknife is jacknives ;)
@@eliasmochan the verb “to jackknife” can be conjugated to form jackknifes :). As in “The way he jackknifes off the diving board is excellent.”
You taught me that OVERBIG is good, but not OVERSMALL.
3:09 i feel like he should've hooked reinteractable with an s to make reinteractables
In the UK a backie is when a cyclist gives a ride to another person on the back of their bike, and its ik CSW :)
Where’s DIABETE?
Will be coming in round 2 of this video, along with OUTPETER!
is that the single case of diabetes? lmao
Not as bad as the valid word PREDIABETESES
Hilarious! Good job Mack.
overshort being a word probably helps :)

Which dictionary did these games use? Because I checked and BACKIE is allowed in CSW.
They're all NWL, the North American list
gauge is pronounced like Gayge, not gouge
the jacknifes thing was diabolical
I feel like "reinteractable" should be a word if it isn't. "Hardsnake" made me cackle though.
Madman
These videos are too quality. You really deserve more subs!
Thanks! I'm still pretty new to this so I'll get there :)
Bobetah is funny
LOL I guarantee his height helped it stay

As bad as letting 5 phonies go in a single game was, none of those phonies are really that terrible.. and he did win the game

Guage was misread in two places. Guage is the British version of gage, a measurement instrument, and is pronounced the same way and rhymes with cage.
