I have watched this video a few times now, and although you have uploaded some outstanding videos of the runs you have done, ( most more difficult than this ) IMO this is the best possibly due to the fact you are skiing it while filming someone else skiing it who also has great technique, also me being 63 now and having major surgery 4 years ago ( although i still ski ) that is my type of run.
Hi Jim, I am gald you liked it I have been filming a lot of this kind of content recently with some really good skiers that I will be uploading soon. Thanks for you encouragement and good on you for continuing to ski if I have to stop before im 80 I will be disappointed.
Hi Alex, maybe you can't imagine how it is pleasant for me to see skiing in my loving Sölden! Your skiing is really cool! 60-70 km/h on the 7th black run and up to 90 km/h at its lower part! 😲🤘💪👍 I put off my hat. Besides, you filmed one more top-to-bottom route (Blue 3a + part of Red 4 + Blue 6 + Black 7 + Blue 9)👍 which I have not in my collection yet. I wanted to record skiing at this route but have not enough time last year. 🙁
Nice run ! I miss Soelden so much... Not sure where I will be able to go there again, hopefully soon. Btw. what kind of skis are you using ? I mean what length and turn radius ? I am thinking of replacing my old 188 cm carving skis with an Elan GSX FIS pair, but I am unsure of the turn radius of 30 m won't be too extreme. I will keep my Elan SLX 165 cm pair for those tighter turns on steeper slopes. Cheers !
What do you use to record the speed of your sling because I would love to know how fast I go and if you could tell me the one that you used to use with the circular speedometer that would be great
First of all - super video, as always :) but .... I love your videos, but that speed indicator is a total mistake. GPS doesn't do a good job of measuring speed when going downhill. It tries to calculate speed based on the difference in altitude and time, but even the altitude itself reports with a big error. In the video from 2:00 (2129m) to 2:23 (2066) it shows a difference of 63 meters in altitude. That's the height of a 10 story apartment building - you're driving down a gentle slope.
The altitude shouldn’t be too inaccurate, usually +/- 5m horizontally and +/- 10m vertically with 95% certainty. Are you sure the speed isn’t based off accelerometer data? Most phones have them.
spectacular stuffI love the speed. Also lol at the snow boarder throwing snow at the skiier
@honkabooly Thanks!
Holy cow. I ski a lot, but I'm exhausted watching this. 🤣. Incredible trails!
Why am I watching your videos this much...

Gopro and a program called telemetry overlay
drop of 1000 meters is cool! your ears are not blocked?
Sony Action Camera?
Sony does not have a Ultra HD 4k 60fps action camera. I own a Sony FDR-X3000 and it's 4k 30fps max.

@@ollie4022 it's accurate, but the altitude is not matched up with the video. It's delayed.
Easy run!!!
Better if you did it on 1 ski!
I did! And it was awesome!!
How do you measure speed??
GoPro Hero built-in GPS ?
Exactly thanks!
Not really sure why I do this to myself watching this. 1st of April and no skiing this year :-(
👍👍😁😁😁
More!
Where is this?
Nice! ... 😀👍
nice
Mostly the blue one... Wow
Maybe better than a German :-)
This is nothing... visit Austria, everyone skies a lot more better than this guy
What are you smoking mate ? This is one of the best places in Tirol and the guy in front is a skiing instructor.
exactly not much carving here mainly just going in a straight line which takes no skill but that is this guy's M. O. he is just a hack
Whars you’re problem? You are such a bad skier...
