Great videos man! Recently bought my first e63s s212 2015 and your content is really inspiring. Can you make a video of oil service on the transmission if you don’t already have? Thanks from Sweden
Just did the trick and went out for a short drive and today my morning commute, it shifts so much smoother, and i didnt even get a engine code for the disconnection. 14 E63S here with 45k miles, just curious have you ever experienced mixed in oil in coolant, just found out yesterday when i topped off some coolant in the middle of summer which never happened last 6 years ownership, and theres little bit oil on the reservoir cap , traced the system couldn't find leaks or foggy residue around hoses, intercooler etc. Tasted my oil from dipstick it wasnt sweet either. just trying to see whats your thought on that issue if you dont mind giving some input, really appreciated it.

hey man im quite new to this but i love watching your videos helps me learn for my 2014 cls63s. you think its the same control arms and ball joint you listed i can get for my car?
@@ExoticCarDIY I was going to ask the same thing. I have a 2016 CLS63 and I need to do this mod. Hearing all kinds of squeaky/ shifting sounds from mine.
FPC Euro confirms that’s both 2016 cls63s and 2014 e63s share the exact part. I’ve been looking for a solution on my 16’ cls63s and I’m going to go with the one in the link.
Just saw on FCP that they got a tool to replace the bushing itself. You reckon is it worth it or is it more safer to just buy the new control arm. Many thanks.
Great Video! Love the channel and you have helped me quite a bit. Have a 2012 e63 Wagon. I currently have a GTA Car Kits unit that works well but it has no video feature. I am being picky. Also a Video on the timing chain old vs new design debate?
I really enjoy your videos keep them coming !!. Picking up my first E63, it's a 2016 with 33k. I think I am paying a little on the high side at 47K but it is immaculate, Mercedes-maintained and clean car fax. It has the BS sound system but not sure what other options, no window sticker, and Mercedes will not give the non mercedes dealer a copy. Any idea on how to figure out which non-obvious options it has ? Thanks
I see you mentioned toe on the alignment? I have a gt63 ! How do i explain to an alignment shop to fix the toe so it wont wear my tires? Also great video i replaced thess control arms 10x on my cls63 !
When you go into an alignment shop you can ask for them to set just the toe to zero. It's literally a tenth of the work of a full alignment. Many shops will offer a considerable discount to just do toe instead of a full alignment. However I'm sure there are still quite a few places that will still insist on paying for the whole thing
Zero issues. I did notice later that my steering wheel was like 2° to the left, I double checked the alignment, everything was still perfect, but I did do about a 16th turn on each tie rod straighten the wheel out. Other than that they're working great
I ask you about the hood gap many months ago, there’s another way to adjust the hood gap on the hood latch, saw a korean video how to adjust it , no one knows how to before that
All 355 came with painted rear bumpers to my knowledge. When the dealers converted regular 355s to the challenge race cars, they installed the black mesh grills. They look great and also provide much needed cooling so it's a very popular upgrade and many people buy them and install them on regular cars
i’ve let these squeak to death for 2 months had no idea it was this easy. a shop wanted to charge me like 6 grand 💀granted i did break all of the control arm bushings going over train tracks at 80 but the point still stands
Question: With the bushings cracked, do you hear a cracking noise when turning the wheel? Because my w212 e63 makes a very annoying cracking/grinding noise when turning at slow speeds.
@@ExoticCarDIYthank you so much. I’ve been trying to figure out what it was for so long. I kept thinking it was the cv joint or just the driveshaft itself.
is the kmac supposed to replace the stock control arm bushing? do i need it if im buying the mevotech control arm? also does the amazon link fit right and left control arms or just the left one ? thnx
The kmac bushing is just an alternate option to fix the stock control arm. Unless you're looking to significantly adjust the alignment, you do not need the kmac bushing. Both the stock and the Amazon mevotech control arms fit either side there is no left and right.
@@ExoticCarDIY thanks for the reply i just ordered 2 mevotech arms. ill be doing a coilover swap on my e63 but gonna get it inspected first to know if theres anything that needs replacing suspension wise!

I'm pretty sure those are painted steel and not "black color". Aluminum flexes and the rubber takes the abuse and flexes. The steel will just bend and fuck your alignment if you hit anything like a curb too fast.
