I personally hope they make it easier for smaller guilds to get rep. I have a private guild for me and my buddies and it only 6 people who don't play the game much. Im mainly the sea off thieves person and it takes forever to do anything in guilds by myself self
I would love it if they would make it a little easier for the smaller guilds. I have a friends guild too, and when we hit level 5 we kinda "celebrated" cuz it gives such a low rep. Then, when we seen the first guild emissiary ship and searched for it that our guild need to be level 15 for the emissiary, we got a little unmotivated.
@@Zsizzz An Idea I had was have the number off players will determine the guild size. Like 1-5 will be an extra small guild 5-10 a small guild ect. The smaller the guild the higher the multipler there is. Just to give a random number it can start at 5 and go down by 1 times
That makes no sense tho. I have a guild consisting of 4 people basically. 2 including me are active 2 play sometimes. I easily got to level 15 with my buddy by doing hourglass pvp. I also invited every player that seemed active and competent. Now i got 17 players almost all of them pirate legend and above and 11 ships in my guild and leveling up goes quicker. But even with only 2/3 people we hit level 15 in the ghoul and glory weekend
I want to see some of the balances actually be addressed, because i dont know if its just me but the sword just got worse instead of being fixed. Like they said if you land your first shot, it cant be stopped thus meaning you need to block more often. Instead no matter what, even when i land the first hit, im always cancelled by other players and PVE creatures. Its really annoying.
It could be a combination of the fix not working properly and the server issues causing issues - a bit like the hit reg. The lag, desync and jitters are causing all kinds of things to work not as intended.

The weirdest server bug I’ve encountered was an entire server not having random effects (water spilling in from holes, cannon flare, water being thrown from a bucket, etc.) it didn’t affect gameplay but it felt so weird.
Yeah I had that quite frequently prior to season 10. No particle effects basically. No cannonball trails, water from holes etc. it made for a very odd experience.
So here's the SOT hidden Lore/Iceberg Post HG implementation: Before the exploit became a thing about 4-5 months back(I know unbelievable right?), HG was runover by cheaters(and I mean blatant keg dropping, speed hacking, one balling, 3 canons straight to the masts scumbags). Then Rare "fixed" Keg droppers and speed hackers (I believe this did happen), but around same time period the HG exploit was discovered and all the cheaters and boosters who were blatantly cheating went over to HG exploit. A period of peace and prosperity prevailed but then the exploit became so prevalent in regions such as SEA, OCE, JAP etc. it was impossible to play HG because of exploiters bugging out ships through the exploit(I believe this to be an unintentional consequence of the exploit where matching ships are bugged out in a perpetual match with no opponent only option is to scuttle, no lowering HG). now in the current time Rare "Fixed" HG exploit and in the past week we have experienced a massive increase in blatant hackers again comparable to the pre exploit times, the return of the scumbags.

I really hope they fix guild rep. me and my friends aren’t too adamant about hg, mostly from that one time we got matched up against a golden skelly running a guild emmisary day 2 of the update, and because of this, we can’t level up our guild very far. Hoping they buff selling treasure!
who could have seen server issues with guilds communicating massive amounts of data cross servers.... and now siren skull coming in a week or 2 which will just mess up server stability even more..... 10 months of waiting for this update so it could be "less buggy" and its been a hot mess. also punishing people for exploiting reputation progression...... 1. who cares that they progress an insane time grind? 2. people cry about removing pvp via safer seas makes it not a pirate game because pirating is all about stealing..... well and cheating and breaking every possible rule. taking advantage of the programmers incompetence sounds like fair game to me under the umbrella of what a pirate is. they never punished people for exploiting the legend of the veil ship wreck bug, never punished people for shores of gold hourglass. but they add this new rep system thats supposed to take literal years to grind and god forbid people found a way to fast track it. their rule has for the most part always been play your way. even if that means exploiting our bad game design... as long as its not directly ruining other peoples fun.... yet even then they allowed so many hourglass exploits without punishing people so who knows. maybe theres only so much they can actually see due to ther incompetent way of designing the game similar to how their silly oreos promotion which wasnt available in the US but all you needed was images of the cookies and a webcam + a VPN and have at it. I’d be surprised if they don’t buff guild rep for turning in loot but the amount of rep you get should scale with the size of your guild I only have 3 other people who sail regularly in my guild and it’s been an absolute chore leveling it up.
Thanks for the video ! The guild rep exploit was a serious problem and I’m glad it was patched. I also agree that the server stability needs to be improved before the next update so we can enjoy it as intended...
The issue with ‘pathetic tokens’ commendation is that Rare changed the names of the athena flags obtained through hourglass to ‘win in battle’ which seems to not give progress toward the commendation. Personally, I am just a completionist and don’t really like the barrel body, but it’s annoying that I can’t get it cause of a stupid mistake by Rare.
Awesome video! I appreciate the intel. The most annoying bugs for me so far are: unable to see ship names, or rep increase while turning in loot(I do get credit for gold/rep), and getting bucket regged in hourglass.
Yeah I've had issues with names on ships/hidden ship names for ages. Bucket reg is super annoying! My most annoying one is not being able to wield my weapons without grabbing something like the harpoon or cannon first. Not ideal in a fight 😂
The problem wasn't the exploit, it's that the "intended speed" is ludacrisly slow, even when you have all your guild members running their own ships alone on their own servers. Which is completely counter to the point of "playing together" because good lord, if you do that the guild rep moves at glacial speed. THAT'S THE REAL ISSUE. People wouldn't feel the need to exploit if it was reasonable.
i still have yet to hear anything or see anything on the LEVELS that these people gained through HG towards golden curse. i sure hope they are removing that progress as well cause that pretty much makes golden curses less valuable knowing someone couldve just gotten it by exploiting
@@Stubby122 they basically forced a HG queue with a friends ship and sunk/Alt+f4 at a specific timing to glitch the game into staying on the same server to then repeat and get a win for every sink. look for Capt. Slippery, he has some good videos on exposing these scumbags
I don't think old gen is responsible for the rubbish server issues right now tbf. It probably doesn't help... but I think it's more of an internal techinical issue that's been getting progressively worse without a game health team.
I mean it is possible. Even without hourglass... Things like reaper chests, high tier rare fish and CoFs and CoLs are pretty good for rep as far as treasure goes. But yeah, hourglass is currently the best way until they balance things out. We'll have to see what they do.
1. Their "updates and fixes" are gonna be too late for the game. game is totally empty after the GnG weekends. 2. Their "fixes" so far have broken the game more. 3. False statements such as 9/10 registered hits... laughable(we all immediately knew they were lying through their teeth when they said "we have released some of these fixes in the past months"). 4. Anti-cheat... will be a disaster I'm 100% sure. remember player reporting? still no way to report for cheating. 5. The fact that they were not aware of the HG exploit is mind boggling(it was known throughout SOT discord communities for months now, did they think 1day old accounts with HG 1000 lvls were "ultra pro players" or something??? or do they never investigate their own DBs???). 6.Alienating older players with removal(not even removal, absolute decimation, punishing players with the muscle memory by specifically making it take longer if you even try to do the QS) of techniques used by older players, effectively removing a player made game mode which is TDM. I love the game(or what it was and could have been) but I'm glad it is dying in its current state.
The game is not dying, its core is. But from a marketing perspectve I dont even think thats a bad thing for Rare. There are so many "skilled" players around at this point, that its REALLY hard for new Players to learn the game and not get frustrated and turned off in the first week of playing. As someone who really enjoys PvP in this game, ( I have about 2000h and both HG curses) but also loves to provide other players some unique and fun experiences ( call it roleplaying if you like), I have only had a hand full of interactions with other players, that tried to put a smile on other peoples faces. The core playerbase is so focused on PvP and a lot of players are just toxic af in the first place. Rare markets the game as this fun player interactive game with a firendly community and what they get is a toxic craphole where you need to learn combat for atleast 500hours to even have a chance of a even fight.
@@852paddy true, our crew personally never hunts new players, only emissaries on or above lvl 3. But its not even about new players at this point. Of all my points only QS change would affect new players. Its the general health of the game. Its feels… so bad to play right now… with the desynch, hitreg, lag, stutter etc.
guild shouldnt be in the game it should be something else... its pointless it ruining everything No one will help but themselves if they r lucky straw ofc its rare...

I noticed it takes a while for some to actually get a successful shot while others die after 2 pot shots

I too hope that treasure selling is buffed and hourglass is not nerfed
It would be a real shame if they nerf the hourglass guild rep - it was really fun on Ghoul & Glory to be levelling both.

Yeah I've seen lots of people ask for a balance like that which gives you more rep if you're a smaller guild group.
I agree like my gild is only 3 and I'm the only one that plays a lot the other 2 only play sometimes and I'm still on level 3 it sucks

What if you just did hourglass battles but didn’t do the exploit

Yeah I noticed that during the edit. I guess during testing or initial concepts they had it at 30. It's definitely 100 in the retail game right now.

Water reg is super annoying. Even island pve is broken af. I've had phantoms and skellies take like 5+ sniper shots to kill. Ridiculous.
