    i love this. reminds me of my grandmother. she loved collecting dried flowers but she didn't do anything with them. i would make this project with her if she was still alive.

      Thank you, your grandmother must be a very kind person, she loves life and loves beauty. I think that although you have not created beautiful works with your grandmother, I think we still have the opportunity to leave a good memory for our loved ones. I also miss my grandmother. 🙏

      You should still make it in her honor. That's what I'm going to do. My grandma just passed this last November. I preserved her flowers from the funeral and I want to make something like this for her to put next to her picture.

    • @corecollapse4726
      @corecollapse4726 3 года назад +1

      As CP already said - You can still do this in her memory! I know your comment is a year old now, but you can still try it if you already haven't. I plan on making something similar, again with some flowers from my Nana's funeral. She passed on Feb 13th but flowers were one of her joys in life, she always had a very colourful garden, so flowers are something that I associate with her.

    • @BuzzingFish
      @BuzzingFish  5 лет назад

      Hi, how long do you put the flowers in the silica desiccant? If the temperature is high, try to reduce the time, up to 2 days. You can also use a microwave oven with a desiccant. It takes only 3 minutes for the fire to dry, so you can save the color of the flower well, but you still need to make multiple times to have more experience. 😊

    Why did you mix the resin at 120g to 40g hardening agent? The epoxy resin you list (sold from Amazon) in the material list lists a 1-to-1 volumetric mixing ratio which should have been closer to 1 to 1 per weight (actually I carefully measured it in a lab to be 0.85-to1.00 hardener to resin per weight mixing ratio, not even close to the 1-to-3 you used in this video). Were you trying to make the final product softer or were you using a totally different brand than in your material list?

    • @BuzzingFish
      @BuzzingFish  5 лет назад

      This kind of dried flower only needs to be hung upside down to dry. It will not use silica desiccant. That kind of desiccant makes dry roses very well. Good quality resin is not easy to turn yellow. 😉💕

    How do you get bubbles out.... Please answer this one... Why does my Epoxy get hard in one hour... Is it that my scale is faulty.... Resulting in more hardener?.... How long did this mixture takes to cure... Did you wait for bubbles to escape before pouring into mould... Or you pour with the bubbles and have it pop as itSeat to cure in the mould

      In the description of the video there is a list of materials, and a link to purchase. You can search "super clear resin" at Amazon, generally, the resin will be sold together with the hardener. 😊 You can search for "resin kits" at Amazon and buy a lot of materials for resin work. 😊

      Yes, you can use nail polish instead of resin, but you must make sure to apply evenly. 👌

    Whats the plastic for the mold called? Where can i get it? Thanks!

    • @BuzzingFish
      @BuzzingFish  5 лет назад +4

      You can buy it at Amazon, you can use plexiglass to represent plastic, better than plastic. You can find it by searching for ”plexiglas“. 😉

      I have placed the amazon link of the material list used in the description of the video. You can refer to these materials and buy the one that suits you. 😊

    you said to get rid of bubbles, to let sit for half an hour, but, isn't is sitting in the mold for hours? I use Art Resin as well, and it's always cloudy and full of bubbles? Why?

    • @BuzzingFish
      @BuzzingFish  5 лет назад

      If the temperature is low, the resin will be viscous. You can try to put the mixed resin into warm water to accelerate the disappearance of the bubbles. 😊

      I use 0.5mm thick plexiglass, you can also use plastic instead, many things in life can be used to make molds. 😉
