I subscribe to a few prepper channels, and while they are all very informative, you always come up with the most innovative stuff. Thank you for all you do.
What do you recommend for a humid climate? Some days will get humid here so we can use it on most days. For days that are humid, what do you recommend? Thank you in advance for your advice & guidance.
@Gizmo's World Search Swamp Cooler on Google (it'll take a bit of search as this system is primarily what will come-up on results). There is one that is about $200+/- made from a cooler with fan & battery pack that you insert ice in it to act like an AC and works very well here in Florida. This product in this video I don't think is a Swamp Cooler; the type I mentioned is what I've known as Swamp Cooler for some 10+yrs now; this is an Evaporative Cooling System. Both of these systems work relatively well in the proper environment. Good luck
@@artierodriguez8334 thank you for responding. I will look into it. I definitely want to be cool in the summer. I have those “scarves” that you wet, snap & wear”. They work but I’d want multiple options like the one you are telling me about. If you find the name or link, please let me know. I’ll look for it in the meantime. Thank you again!
Yeah been using it in my garage you can kind of hear it in the background of my summer videos, I have the whole portable AC unit but this is so much simpler to set up for a video shoot, it works great out here but remember, we are in the Nevada desert and have super low humidity. In a more humid climate these do not work well
George...all your loyal fans thank you to death it seems with every video you do but really, I think this one's a game changer. I love it. I think you'll benefit more than me but in socal, this might come in handy. Even with no grid down, being able to have a good alternative to the insane power bills that are going to be coming our way this summer...question: do the directions specify using distilled water?
@@Iridium242 Thanks George. Just fyi...I'm still a subscriber because I appreciate it when a channel doesn't CHANGE! lol I mean sure there might be the minor tweak here and there, but for the most part, you're still good old George who listens to and answers his viewers. 🙂
Wow, thanks for demonstrating this! Looks great! It would work great here in Colorado where the climate is dry and the temps can reach 105 degrees. $135 isn't a bad price!
sounds like you described the perfect operational climate for this thing. I'm in southern Kaliforniastan, and I think we'll have enough dry days to make this thing work. Especially with the energy price spikes possibly continuing. I mean, they want us to all buy electric cars, but every summer, my state's officials tell me I can only run my ac at 78 degrees because we have to watch out for the electric grid going offline from over use. Excuse me? Then quit telling everyone to buy electric cars! Oh and since the electric wires are so old and brittle, the power companies cut power during windy times in some areas so the wires don't get clipped by a falling branch and start a fire! I can't make this s up! lol But short answer yeah, sounds like it'd work in those conditions.
@@dgunearthed7859 👍You make some excellent points! I also keep in mind that if an AC unit breaks, it might be hard to get parts to repair it. So this would be great to use until it gets fixed.
Excellent affordable cooler for living in Las Vegas! Thank you for being so through! I've never heard of a swamp cooler it's very interesting! Thank you so much for another awesome video! 👍💙🤩
Have enjoyed watching your videos - new subscriber! We live in Tucson so this appeals to us. Question: in case water from the tap is not available due to major emergency do we want to use our storage water to run this? We have a solar battery to run it in case power is out but worried about the water issue. Would appreciate your comments. Mandy 🌵
Thank you for the idea, it's very much appreciated.
Thank you great video
beat the heat even in a crappy situation

You were correct about a price increase! I had to wait to purchase this. Now it cost me $155 with the discount code. Even so, it's worth it.
Is there a means to hook it up to a garden hose or something so we dont need to refill it?

About all you can do is replace your sweat! I have used those cooking towels for headband neck but if you live in the humid south, forget it!
Try to find a battery operated fan ?

@@denisegirmer4550 great idea! I’m looking for multiple options.
What watt generator do you need to power this?
I like this! Only 0.7 of an amp. That's pretty good. Would work great in our extra-dry climate. Thank you, George!!
I was wondering if you ever tried this again during these summer months? I live in Texas and we are literally baking out here.

will this work in Alabama please
I like the video and almost stop watching it when you mention the people complaining in Florida
Is there something I can run in a more humid environment? I would love something like that. Thank you!
What do you use for you prepping pantry to keep it cool and dry?
