Love your teardowns, very informative just seeing the materials but with your experience and knowledge you add to what something is and how/why its there is next level. No one does it like you, the measurements and deep looks at the iems are very good too. Really interested in some of the clone tech or even older iems to see what's going on.
Dude I really want to see what inside of that IE900 clone! Have been thinking to build a IE900 lookalike IEM for fun as there are store that sell the shell with absorb chamber, like the original one. Awesome video!
Oh literally same idea I'm considering. I'm just not sure what driver to fit in it!
@@Mt.TrashmoreI have seen some clones with 8mm DD piezo hybrid in coaxial but the drivers that I found are either in 10mm or too tall to fit in.
I love your bird, I have two umbrella cockatoos and a Little corella cockatoo. Yes they can be loud.
Definitely keen to see a video on the planar build process.
I will definitely put something together, I'll see about maybe putting one out this week, maybe next week.
I have two sets of the guideray. Pleasant sounding. My first set developed intermittent issues with one of the channels and i'm certain it is a poor solder point on the connector. I got those in the wood finish and I'm planning on mending them some day. I liked them that much I payed retail price again for another set which is still holding up. I got the second pair in carbon which i think looks better.
I'm really excited to see the DIY videos.
Possibly I'd love for you to frankensteining something together and then see the frequency results if you did do that.
I have that same box, I got it from Harbor Freight. Decent storage for the money.

You have Moondrop SSR there, the SSP is in a much darker blue. Not CVJ Mirror, those have 2 curved facets on the faceplate, 4 facets are CVJ CSN. The red metal KZ with the black faceplate is ZSA. I think the new KZ ZS10Pro X has a similar layout to the CCA CA16 with all BA firing out alongside the DD into a common acoustic chamber. Possibly an improvement over having them in the nozzle, firing straight out from behind the grille. It would be interesting to see development of design between CCA C12 and CCA CA16.😃

That's an SSR, it came in 4 different colors and another variant. The SSP only comes in blue. The last KZ is a ZSA.
Cca and kz. Please open and test the ba drivers . Just wondering if they work. I don't think they have much sound the kz

She is a rescue, her old owner died and she was abused when in foster care. When large birds are stressed they pluck their own feathers out. It is called self mutilation. Once they start it is really difficult to get them to stop.
She is well loved and happy but she will never return to normal because of her past.

Please take apart the cca ca16. I own and think they are extremely light weight. Very unresolving for an 8 driver iem, must have some pretty bad design flaws.
Only single DD works all fake drivers only vibrate or give ssss sounds
they probably have non-working drivers in there. kz got into a scandal last year for putting in drivers that don't make sound into their iems to market them as multi driver sets. since cca is kz's sister company, it's not surprising if only one driver works on each side for the ca16.
Cheap BAs, driver count is irrelevant on low price tiers.
Remember that more drivers doesn't mean better techs.
IE: B2:Dusk outresolves my Mangird Tea 2 and that has more drivers than the Dusk.

That Auglamour IEM is very interesting, I knew DUNU was an OEM company but had never seen their drivers on other brands.
Doing a bit of google search and I found the model: T100, released around 3 years ago.
Also, here's something interesting I discovered: DUNU released an 8mm dual DD IEM called the DM-480 in late 2019 which I looked up because the T100 shell reminded me a lot of this IEM.
Seems like both IEMs use the same DUNU driver and also might use the exact same shell too.
The T100 might be a DM-480 clone.
