    Riley needs to integrate Quinten Joyner more into the offense, he is a more powerful back and has breakaway speed. Why is he not getting at least 10-12 carries/game?
    The biggest benefit with Marks is his catching ability, well above average and allows for added versatility in play calling, PLUS he is reliable with the rock. Does not turn it over.

      At one point I was calling for Maiava too… but not because of Moss. It’s because of the O-Line. If they are going to let Moss get get beaten to a pulp, they might have to put in Maiava at some point just to keep Moss from being knocked out from an injury. Jaden can scramble enough in the pocket and is big enough to not be as much of a liability as the result of our Swiss cheese line. It’s not a knock on Miller, it’s the shameful play of our offensive line being a screen door for defensive fronts.

    Branch scares me every time he is involved with the ball , dropped passes, loose ball handling, catching punts, can't take hits very scary. As for the o line play look at the footwork of the tackles. Very poor technic, narrow stance, feet are not moving, very slow for this level of football.

    Not sure what the rules are but if possible we need help on the O-Line Coaching Staff. I come from an SC Family, been watching USC since I was a kid (McKay- National Championship ERA) and something is off. Usually you see a semi-circle when Linemen drop back to protect. Protect Ice Man. Quite possibly too much change in last second play calling is altering the lane assignments ???. We believe in you guys 100%. For example: Oregon's O-Line protecting Bo Nix last year was made up of 5th year Seniors. So maybe each game they'll jell & keep Ice Man on his feet.

Now that we have that whole Bear distraction out of the way. Game focus. Could be that we have played the most difficult team we will face in conference. It will be fun to be in contention in November, because someone will knock Michigan off... we just need two in conference somebodies to do that.

      If not challenge, at least be the weapon when they decide to just run it straight up the middle into a wall. Joyner is the only back we have that consistently breaks first contact. Marks needs to be used on more thoughtful plays than just dives up the gut. More of Riley being stubborn and formulaic in the beginning of games IMO.

  • @joeycarbone9540

    I feel like im the only one who isn't that high on Woody Marks. He seems to get tackled easily and doesnt have top end speed. He has good vision and finds his lane well though.

    • @jayrod1980
      @jayrod1980 Месяц назад +1

      He does a lot. He has strong hands, can catch, can BLOCK, and is decently quick. The issue is Riley wants to run him straight up the middle when our line can barely get any push against these Big Ten D Lines. Marks is not the guy to break contact in those situations. If Riley doesn’t want to use Marks strengths effectively, he needs to stick Joyner in on those plays because he’s the one guy that rarely goes down with first contact. Other than having the most experience, I believe Marks gets much more touches because he’s a better pass blocker than Joyner. Remember, no blocky, no rocky.

  • @jeffbenson9732
    @jeffbenson9732 Месяц назад

    There are too many highlights of Mason running into the backfield with his head in the dirt missing tackles and sacks that go for big yards. He does hit blocks big but we dont need people hitting blocks big we need TFL's and sacks and he isnt consistently doing that it is actually the opposite. Ill give him his due for the int but a broken clock is right 2 times a day.

  • @bobburch3826

    Branch needs to be removed from punt and ko return. He's confused back there and will cost us a close game based on his indecisions. Also, I would rather see Joyner than Marks in the backfield.

    receivers not really getting any seperation, just Mossing everyone. Kind of concerning

    • @jayrod1980
      @jayrod1980 Месяц назад

      Hard to get separation when most of the game he doesn’t have enough time to let most of the routes develop. The only guy not getting separation is Branch because they constantly put him on screens or in the flat where he’s standing still when the ball is thrown. That’s totally the wrong way to use him as a WR. They need to hit Branch in stride or on crossing routes where he can turn on the burners. Having a 5’10, 175 lb guy sit on the line from a start isn’t going to result in a lot of big plays. They never used Tahj like that last year.

      @BabyT2214 I love the kid, but he has NOT been that dude when he had the ball. Had the ball. Am I wrong? 1 is a game breaker, a game changer. Just waiting for it....whenever he gets the ball, he needs to be 'him'

    • @jayrod1980
      @jayrod1980 Месяц назад +2

      @@cruelsun9243 Riley isn’t using him right. He’s always standing still on screens as an outlet. Maybe Riley doesn’t trust his route running but he needs to be hit running across the field or in stride to take advantage of his speed. Starting from a stand still as a guy his size isn’t going to result in much and he’s way to short to throw contested catches to. You gotta hit a 4.3 speed guy in stride!
