@Valérian new trains for line 1 might come when line 2 is eventually upgraded to ATC, since the rockets would just go to line 2 and new rolling stock would probably come to line 1. How much more work does a system need for ATO?

Every metro worldwide needs to use screen doors and it's clearly possible. The tech already exists to make the doors even adjust for different types of trains... Osaka has them... Clearly it's possible to overcome any BS FUD reason why not...
