I did enjoy that video, and have a number of things to source now. I did have most of those but the big buckets, mosquito netting, turkey baster, and tubular water pump are important future additions. And I enjoyed your presentation. We went memory foam day one, but as an overlay. I think I will look at a full depth memory foam mattress.
Please don’t think that I am trying to be anything but helpful, but WD-40 is good for removing anything petroleum. Tar, oil, and grease. It is fantastic for that, but to actually lubricate, there are a ton of aerosol lubricants that do a better job of not allowing problem areas to dry out and rust. I absolutely enjoy your channel, and intend to join you in the sailing community later this year, as I am currently actively sailboat shopping. Thank you for your help and advice! Paul!
Thanks Paul! - yes i agree. I usually use 3 in 1 after wd-40. The wd-40 seems to get any moisture out and any rust soaks it up. I've used it on the sail track on the mast with good results
Your laptop cable turns 120/230v to 12 for the computer. You are turning your battery 12/24v into 120 and back to 12v. Needless to say that you are losing efficiency. You can just buy a laptop cable that takes 12v for the price of any new laptop cable. I did this for my camper and used it for a laptop by day and CPAP by night.
Excellent tips thank you , couple questions, I am retro fitting my 38' Sail boat right for, so have few questions, I see you have airX wind turbine, is it 12 V and how much watts does it generates ? and how about the noise how bad does it get? what type solar panel you guys have and how much Watts does it generates ? thanks
The original metal jerrycan was designed to be the weight a decently fit man could carry one in each arm for a certain distance (I don't remember, probably 1/2m or 1km). That weight is about 40lbs or 5 gals each arm, or you can carry 10 gals. But those SE Asian women who weigh
Okay why don’t you have a water maker? Also why don’t you have a basic whole house water filter to clean your water? Do you have a small elected fuel transfer pump again you can put a fuel filter and water separator. And you can get an electric water sump pump
Just found your channel .. Yes, I get sea sick. I found a pressure skillet; only 2-1/2" high and comes up to pressure much quicker than a standard cooker. oh, and lose that irritating background noise.
So damn helpful. You guys are the best.
Love you guys!
Thanks for the helpful tips
Amazing video. Thanks guys...

Canadians have good taste in music 😜🔥
2:53, bees wax makes good protection against rust, I buy toilet ring wax, dollar and change, it comes in handy
@16:33 Interesting artwork you have there.
Sprint is the best, been with them thru thick and think for the last 22 years.
Well done.
things one doesn't think about ... enjoyed video
11:55, USB, with a lot of gadgets, tools, lights and phones USB chargeable, wiring for USB throughout the boat makes life easier
First found the do over video and now this one, decided to subscribe...then I found the last videos where you are done :(
Not a criticism but just a tip, the music is very loud and thumpy, it makes it difficult to watch/hear the video.

nice
A tip don’t use lube on sail tracks it just attracts dirt and grime build up try a mixture of dawn dish soap and water in a squeeze bottle
Great suggestion - will try this

You go straight from tarp to container? Any filtration/sanitation?
Nope, but we only collect it in the caribbean so we know the rain is atlantic rain which is better than drinking from rain over land.
Well, I have 2 good multi-meters. I just need the rest of the items!

WD-40 & Duct Tape.
If it’s supposed to move and it don’t, use the WD-40.
If it moves when it shouldn’t use the Duct Tape👍
Just in case you ask where these guys are from...it is Nova Scotia....you are welcome LOL
50 cal sniper rifle. LOL.
Why not just get a water maker? 9:08. Great video, Thanks so much!
Agreed- the cost, really. They are $$
What type of memory foam mattress do you use? I am desperate to replace the mattress in the forepeak of our C&C35mkII.
I believe it's memory foam and matress foam sandwiched together. It's about 10 in thick
@@SailingBalachandra do you recall where you got it or the brand?
Each Other should have been #1
That is a big boat to solo
Haha well put :)

I do I like your videos except for the music . I have to turn them of after 10 minutes or so.
Thanks for the tip. We'll work on it
thank you for information guys, music was kind of annoying though. i would rather hear sea and seagulls then that high energy techno nonsence.
wd40 is not a lubricant.
Music stinks sorry
