My guess from the description and video is that Momman ended up hungry for attention and pushed himself to be a very good person to keep that attention, and didn’t realize until Astan explained it to him that that’s why he ended up as greed

Wait- a couple months back a video had a part where Momman smashed Levi's head against the wall. If this is in the same story plot, did Momman do that because he got so greedy from the attention that he hated the fact that Levi was getting some from Phelgor instead of him?
In that time, Mushie kept making their eyes glow in their sin colors whenever they're committing their sins, and when Levi "challenges" Momman, his eyes glow yellow.
So, I highly believe your theory, I always asked myself why would he be greedy in such a time while smashing a kid's head against a wall-
I don't think them having glowing eyes necessarily means that they're committing their sins. There are a couple of instances where the glowing eyes isn't following those rules. Even in that scene, Levi's eyes glow and it shouldn't make sense for him to feel envious in that moment.
My interpretation of that whole scene was just that Levi said that it's his fault Phelgor had those bottles (maybe he was the one that gave them, maybe it was his) and Momman was just pissed off by him.
@@lordleygoosey2768 I think you got me a little wrong (I suppose, because I am not a native speaker, that it was by some wrong or weird writing choices of mine), so just to be sure I'm rewriting my first point;
Yeah, their eyes also glow for no apparent reason sometimes, but in special, they'd glow when they're committing their sins.
Also, my interpretation of that scene were a little different, to me Levi was trying to get the bad attention to himself by mocking Momman in some way (like "why don't you let the child live a little old man?"), but Levi telling Momman that he's the one who gave Phelgor the beer, that's new, never seen that one before, and it's interesting.
Momman being pissed by Levi being irresponsible and giving alcohol to a child, while also because Levi himself (correct me if I'm wrong but, I remember the on the US the minimal age for drinking being 20↑) was supposedly drinking it too, no wonder why would he be mad, that's actually a pretty good explanation, I like your interpretation :)
@@jinfox8182 Oooo, I actually really like the idea of Levi mocking Momman. Both are really good interpretation so I think they both work. The interpretation that he was jealous of Levi for getting attention from Phelgor to the point of bashing his head into the wall doesn't really gel with me.
Mainly because there is nothing he could have said to realistic cause him to be that angry. Also Momman still cares for Levi, and one of his traits is that he is greedy but gives what he steals to those he cares. I'm sure he wouldn't mind sharing that attention with Levi (completely different story if it was a stranger). That's just my opinion though.
Oh and the legal drinking age in America is 21 and up but is 18 and up in most countries of the world. Canonically, Levi is 20 and Phelgor is 12 (The primary source is gone but I found a couple of comments referencing it)
@@lordleygoosey2768 there's also a chance that by the time the smashing head happened, Levi was still new to the group, so Momman still didn't trust him, so maybe not greedy from Phelgor attention, but pissed with some dude who just joined the group offering alcohol to a child, or pissed with someone intervening when he's scolding Phelgor, because Phelgor needs to learn their lesson, but with Levi saying that "they did nothing wrong" (it's like those people who say that when a kid steal something it isn't wrong because it's a just kid) they could be influenced into thinking that they really didn't do something wrong and ending up doing it again.
Lol so what I think is going on is that Momman used to be good role model and selfless. But then after people kept feeding him with so many compliments that he became reliant on them and so is now greedy for attention. However, Astan here refuses to give him any of her praise and taunts him with the fact he'll never be loved by her.
Based on the video, the description, and the fact that Astan is supposed to absolutely hate Momman, it seems she's trying to make everyone else see him as not being genuine in his efforts for them and tries to make them see him as only wanting their attention so that they'll all hate him as she does.

gOD.... this is fantastic??? the harsh shading and the overwhelming red seeping in,, it feels like astan is within every inch of this place, even if she's sitting in a chair seemingly 'imprisoned' along w/ momman, it's clear her influence is spreading :0!!!
the way that she has a camera (?) and is pointing it at momman.. he's directly under her gaze and, by extension, everyone else's,, he's forced to put on a 'show' of some kind because of this and even if it's just him in frame, you can Feel the eyes on him just like he does :O!!!!
and the way astan's smile shifts to meaning different things like:
1. at first it was something like playful amusement atleast to me but then
2. it became knowing, like she was privy to a secret and now saw all the more clearly... AAGH i cant even explain how u communicated that but u make use of every element to tell stories even if these r like short vignettes of the universe >:000 :3
