Interesting, I've never thought to add the mica to some of the oils before adding in the lye, I always add the mica to the soap batter. Will have to try this. What does sodium lactate do to the soap?
@@jeffychihuahua1913 thank you, I add a little bit of salt for a harder bar. Would love to try sodium lactate but haven't seen it sold in my country. How much do you add to a batch, as a percentage of the oils?
I'm glad you love them 💕 thanks for the support! 😃😄 I think you may have inspired me to do another video tonight. Its been a little while since iv made one. Sometimes it's hard to find the extra time.
@@jeffychihuahua1913 yay!! 😃👏👏 I hope you do. I’ll keep my eyes out for it. 👀 You’ve definitely inspired me with so many of your soap creations! Can’t wait to get soapin. 🤩
@@jeffychihuahua1913 I understand that but every FO has a usage rate and IFRA guidelines. Normally 5-6% is what is used but there are some that are much lower.
I completely understand your need for a recipe however I only teach techniques as I am not that knowledgeable about recipes. I use the lots of lather quick mix from brambleberry.com it gives instructions on how much lye is needed. Thats a great ittem to try if your brand new. Hope that helps 😃😄😁
Fabulous! Many thanks!
Thankyou so much 🥰

It helps the bar be harder and last longer

3 oz. of FO seems like a lot for a 3 lb soap. What % are you using?
1oz/16oz=6.25% 😃😄😁 I definitely go for a strong scent and have never had a problem with it.
