Hey nintentalk! I unfortunately have some news about the game that me and another commenter found. While looking at an older trailer which is 10 months old, there is items on screen at one point in the video. We found items that were shamelessly ripped off from animal crossing, I have made out a few things they have ripped off, mainly the ice cream display. Wallpapers and floors that is in animal crossing, the orange rug, the book shelf, and the end table. Just to be sure I looked at the animal crossing items and then at the galactic items and they are very eerily close to each other’s designs. Plus I found that animal crossing wild world ALSO had an orange chair, which makes that another item stolen by this company. not only that but from this game doesn’t look finished at all. It seems rushed and many things added abruptly to make the game look more less of an animal crossing game than an actual different game. I highly recommend you go watch the 10 month old video and tell me your thoughts on what me and other people found out. Have a great day!
I wish cozy games would get a little more creative with the visual style. It feels like 90% of them have the kind of graphics you'd expect from a facebook game from 2012. Maybe this is just early stuff for promotion but right now, at a glance, I wouldnt be able to tell it apart from any of the other AC-inspired cozy clones thats come out in the past 4 years. The gameplay itself seems cool but I hope one of their stretch goals is more textures.
yeah, they're basically just copy pasting animal crossing ui, assets, and other things that you do. I wish more indie companies would stop doing this and come up with original games and ideas.
This seems to add everything we wanted AC to have. We really wanted to be able to play with friends. And the pets is just a cherry on top. The amount of different pets you can have..so excited. I want this!
Yes! We are trying to focus in on the multiplayer. Farming will be incorporated into other mechanics of the game. Such as attracting different kinds of pets to your area.
The graphics need a lot of work and I don't think copying ACNH is a good idea. AC fans are die hard and we want to see some originality, not a poor copy. Come up with something new! I'm not particularly bothered about multiplayer, I'm more of a decorator. I hope for the sake of the backers it gets made, though.
I’m excited for it, but I do hope the game play is more than what new horizons was, the main storyline or whatever you wanna call getting kk slider to your town was soooo short. Like please don’t let the base game take the back seat, I love having the option to play online with people but I normally play my games alone. So I hope the single player is just as good as the multiplayer. If this game is good it’ll be huge!
I found this through Josh and was hoping more content creators would talk about this! 🎉 I'm really excited for it, EA being in August is what made me backup for it. I think some parts are very obvious to looking like Acnh such as the pigtails but I also see some uniqueness with it. Really hoping this game will be fun as it seems 🤞
Here to comment that I found out this will be a free to play game with mtx when it releases. I am not a fan of playing my favorite genre aka cozy as mobile style games so I will no longer be supporting it. I didn't play Palia or backstart Loftia due to these reasons. Idk if you know this as it doesn't say on the Kickstarter and I found out through their Discord haha
The gator looking native is, in fact, Dr. Curtis Connors. The scientist from Spidey, you guys remember, right. I'm glad to see Curt doing good and at peace, he wasn't a bad guy, per se, he was just confused. Probably in No way home, he asked the Amazing Spiderman (Andrew Garfield) to bring him to a peaceful place, with all the multiverse stuff going on. Believe me, that's his backstory @nintentalk
this could be so cool! i hope they meet their kickstarter goal!! also visually it’s kinda giving acnh x club penguin x pokemon lol i keep editing but i do hope the make it their own a bit more. love the minigames and stuff. just need less direct copy and more simply inspired lol
Galactic Getaway was a weird name. Galactic seems more of a space name. If it was more space like it would of been cooler. The characters could of been different looking aliens. They should of made it not look totally like animal crossing game with the screens. Made it look lazy to me. Be interesting to see how if goes.
One little thing I think would make the visuals much better is it needs more colored lighting, the white lighting makes it feel kinda sterile and bland. But otherwise it looks fun I'll definitely be keeping watch for it!! I love the idea for the space theme too.
