my first thought when the video started was "omg that is such a cute sweater" therefore I have no problem telling you that your outfit is super cute. also this is such a clever video/tutorial to post. I cannot tell you how many hearts I have made to act as bridge landings for diagonal bridges hahaha
Another idea on how to use the in game paths is giving examples on how to lay them down with custom codes. Personally i use both. I sometimes use just the in game paths, mostly the in game paths with a custom pattern laid on top of it, or custom paths by themselves. I mainly do the pattern on top of paths for a number of reasons, 1 being it saves on custom code spaces when you choose 1 code with part of the color missing so when you lay that one code on top of an in game path you can stretch that one design in a lot of ways. Using in game paths under it also can change the way that 1 code looks depending on the in game path under it, like it takes on a different texture or shade so it feels like you have more than 1 version of the same custom path. Another reason i lay custom paths on in game paths is i often just simply like the look more, like it having a uniformed edge finishing it off where sometimes i don't think it's worth getting more codes that go with that custom path, but often it's not for that reason i just plain like the look sometimes, but the bonus like i said is not having to use up more space in my custom codes. And the last good idea for placing custom codes over in game paths, it makes the map look interesting. You still get to have the unique custom codes all over your island, but you can see the layout on your map because of the in game paths under it.
THANK YOU! I have been watching your videos for a while now, you helped me reach my goal to 5 stars with all your tips and tricks! ❤❤❤ and your outfit is cute.
No way I havnt played in months and just re set my game for a fresh start i got so bored and play dreamlight valley more so gonna try again with ac 😢 hopefully I stick too it I got the game on launch in 2020 so iv re set dozens of times 😂
Could you also make a video on cool things you can do with 9 tile custom paths? Like, besides the designs themselves being cool, what shapes can you create and what unique things can you try?
The lack of sound on the custom paths still gets on my nerves because we all know they could easily have us use a catalog sound file to give them sounds but they chose only to give us sound files for inside homes in the Happy home DLC.... Why couldn't they do the same for the custom paths that they did for the house interior soundscapes?
I love your Islands and ideas. I want to share Items that I have in multiples, but am concerned about allowing just anyone on my island. Any recommendations? thank you in advance
i used to use nookazon.com a lot bc you can see reviews on people’s profiles, so you’re less likely to encounter a scammer :) i’ll say the acnh community as a whole is usually very kind though
I made a custom pattern that closely matches the color of the brick path so I can use the technique with the alternating paths but it's still all brick.🧱 The only problem with this is that the game uses the normal and gloss map of whatever path is beneath it. So if I put the pattern on the stone path it looks like my custom bricks have cracks. (which could be desirable for some builds) And if I put the pattern on the dirt path it looks visibly darker than the brick path in low light conditions.

You can make “arrow shapes too, by making a square and rounding off three corners, leaving the pointed corner in the direction you want.
Lex your outfit is so cute. It reminds me of the outfit of the vampire girl from Hotel Transilvania 😭💞

I'd love to know the pathing you have in this video, it's adorable and I need it in my life!
