I think you should play the skeletons just like you would now. They are still 1 elixer, but when you evolve them, you get 4 skelies (or even more), so you could still use them for cycle.
Evolved skeletons are such a strong defensive card for positive elixir trades. You absolutely wreck most strong ground melee troops, and with their ability, spirits may not even get them all with splash range. For 1 elixir, applying the kind of pressure that it can is huge. I'm curious to see how the spawn mechanic interacts with the Electro Giant's reflection, too.
The only nerf I’d see going on this card, would be the maximum of skeleton it spawns is 6 instead of 8. Just so it basically doubles the regular amount of skeletons 🙂 But i don’t play CR much anymore, so I’m just interested to see all this unfold 😄

Evolved Skellies are gonna be so OP. So many situations where one skeleton barely defended a unit or barely died to it will be completely different. For one elixir you can possibly counter like 2 Pekkas.
I'd say a good nerf is to make new evolved skeletons that spawn be put into a short buffer like after they swing but instead right as they spawn instead of letting them swing immediately after multiplying
This clone ability is nothing new, it was already present in Boom beach as a special troop. It’s really nice that they are taking ideas from that game, some of the troops are fairly unique and could work in Clash royale
Imagine u got attacked in both lines and put skeletons at center, then there would be 4 skeletons in each line, pretty broken and can't zap the all 8 skeletons
The best thing that can be done is to reduce the hit speed of the evolved skeletons so that the replication is bit slow... That could balance the card...
Or maybe add a delay for the newly spawned skeleton to hit enemy. Because it looks like the spawned one justhit the enemy instantly so another one spawned right away
I feel like the tower should get some special interaction with the skeletons, like for instance, if a tower kills a skeleton, it can’t respawn for 10 seconds

4:24 they didn't duplicate because the golden knight was dashing, and during the dash it cant get hit Meaning the skellys couldnt duplicate because there was nothing to hit

My problem is that that the evolution is going to be kinda broken and you just play it like iu would and every 3 times it is a broken verson of it.
I'm not looking forward to this update specifically because of this, this is genuinely going to throw the balance of the game so far off.
It seems incredibly easier to counter though. Any spell, ranged unit, or splash damage troop will take care of them no problem.
