Some tips from Krypt about my riding style:
    * First play with the inflation you can go softer, you tune it every day to the conditions.
    * I can see your bodyboard style with the outside hand back, you don't need to do that on a mat to control it.
    * When riding its natural when you start to learn the the mat to want to hang on and grab the corner. Relax you'll stay on!
    * Inside palm flat on the deck out side palm is squeeze in the bottom turn then release

I stumbled across this video and was instantly stoked. I’ve surfed and boogied for a couple of years but had never tried a mat. I contacted Jay at ebodyboarding and he helped me choosing some new fins to go with the mat. I only have a couple session on the Krypt thus far in small waves but it’s a hoot! Thank you Vicki and Jay for putting out fun videos and providing great recommendations!! 🤙🏻

Just buy body board and call it a day ..this will never be better than bodyboard

I didn't want to pay $35 each way on the plane to take a bodyboard for a 36 hour trip where I didn't know if I had time to get in the water, so this was a great option. This thing freaking flies too! I think it is fun to challenge yourself on different vehicles on different days. Makes things exciting and new if bodyboarding is getting boring.

That a pretty uninformed opinion. That's like saying a longboard will never be better than a shortboard (or the other way around). Bodyboards are more maneuverable, but mats (if you have the skills and technique) trim better and have a faster down the line speed. Plus they have a very different feeling than a bodyboard in that they feel like you are floating on air, because you are. Maybe that's not what interests you. Everyone has their preference of surf craft, and what is better for some is not the case for others.

It s not better than bodyboard, it s just different. In good waves a surf mat go quite fast and the feeling is super fun. Another good option would be a paipo.

@@cycologist7069 I am a new mat rider so whatever opinion you are referring to is simply my first first impression. This thing is fuuun and yes I agree super fast! Hopefully the better I get my skills and technique will improve.

@@vickireale I was responding to Sos Madmax on his absurd statement saying "Just buy body board and call it a day ..this will never be better than bodyboard". I was not criticizing your take on mats. I like mats.
