Hahahaha in the first scene I wondered, "hm maybe he met cookie", and then there he his 😅😅 watching like nearly all windsurf content on yt you realise how cute and small the community is. 😊
I have been to ‘Vass’ a few times and it is totally unpredictable. Great for sleeping late as the wind rarely appears until after lunch. We used to say 2 o’clock in the afternoon is when Eric (as the wind is called) turns on and it usually stays until early evening and then switches off. I have sailed in very strong winds there and on one occasion we had Force 10 and all the boards, sails, furniture and everything was blown away towards the town!
Hey Nils, great content, keep it up... btw you need to work on you ankle mobility (dorsi-flextion of your ankle) since you got the cigarette walk check out 10:13 min, it's something you should consider for you knees and hip health
Nice footage. I am going to Vasiliki soon. I have never been before. I have a 3/2 long leg, short arm wetsuit. Do you think this will be too warm? I don't have anything else only a winter wetsuit which I'm definitely not bringing.
I've been to Vassiliki many times it's always hit and miss and very overrated. There are much nicer places in Greece, Rhodes, Karpathos, Naxos, where the wind blows constantly literally like a fan.
@richardm9688 don't have an answer to that, perhaps because it's easily accessible for European tourists. Not many Greek windsurfers go there to surf. I grew up in Greece- Lefkada is in the Ionian Sea and winds there are not very consistent. The wind in Vassiliki is just a very localised thermal phenomenon. The real wind is the Meltemi which blows consistently from May to October throughout the entire Aegean Sea. All the Cyclades islands and the Dodecanese are blasted with high winds for the entire season. Hell, even in my home town in Athens the Meltemi blasts every year, spots like Loutsa and Schinias are far better than Vass.
I do like these videos in which you combine the discovery of spots and some windsurfing content, its varied and entertaining.

Yep, I really liked Cookie's waterstart tutorials
Great Video. Finally you got the Vassiliki experience. It doesn’t get much better than blasting under the mountains where it’s super flat.
Love watching both channels 👌

Great meeting you and Simon there! Too bad we missed the windy days.

just a licra with uv protection t shirt and frequent antisun lotion will be fine for you.
Moin Nils
really strange spot!!! 1:02 seems almost impossible to carry a sail there
How does the spot Vass compare to Nikolaos? And where is Nikolaos?
How to travel to wasiliki from europe. Please tell me :D
2:36 why are u sitting on turned over boards?
Relaxing....or no wind?
Probably too shallow to have the fin risk hitting ground

Why has Vasiliki become so popular if the wind is inconsistent?
