I've had this done. Do not underestimate when she says it smells. Get the ventilator. It's rough but beautiful when done correctly.

God, I know!!!! How is this even possible???!!! Slow time down, pleeeaasssee! My oldest son graduates high school this year and when I took him to Kindergarten and saw "Class of 2024" it sounded soooo far in the future. How are we even here now? LOL
I really appreciate a money saving DIY that really does what you need it to do especially when it’s very expensive and you can’t just make a pillow cover for it. You saved a very significant amount of money. Those kind of savings can make a difference in your retirement and/or kids college fund.

Anything would be better than what they looked like 30+ years ago 🫣 I bought my home as a live-in fixer upper to flip sometime in the not so distant future. The whole house needs to be re-done. It started out as a water front 1 bed 1 bath that's then got an upstairs addition with 3 more bedrooms and a full bath, but it's so outdated and compartmentalized. I can't wait to take walls down and make this 1960s house look amazing!

OMG! I would love to see the video using the spray can on a tub. I have an old 1970’s oval shaped soaking tub in an ugly almond/ cream I can’t stand and have lived with for 5 years but my hubby says he loves it bc it’s the 1st wide tub he doesn’t feel cramped in. Doing a video with the spray application would be much more straightforward tutorial than watching the roll on instructions then modifying it in my head what to do bc I’ve never tackled such a diy or any diy besides painting a room. Looking forward to it!

If a tub was painted previously but that paint is now horribly stained, can this product be used at all? Does the old paint need to be stripped?
Yes. That old paint has to come off in order to resurface.

Im so upset i didn't see this video until now. I live in MD. I would have gladly let you re-do my basement shower. It's a really pale yellow. I tried to DIY it but the method i used didn't last
Was there asbestos in the 1973 house? If so, how did you get rid of it?
UGH!!!!! I had my tub refinished already, I live near FedEx Field. 😖
Oh well, it really transforms a pink bathroom. I could not part with my huge tub. They just don't make them like that anymore. Yours held up well. Great job, momma! 👏🏾👏🏾
I completely agree!!! I had my kids' bathroom tub replaced and it was NOT as good as the avocado-green fiberglass 70's tub that was here when we moved in! I wish I would have just kept the green tub/shower. It was much nicer!
I wish I would've used Bathworks instead of Rustoleum. Rustoleum didn't even last a year before I had to remove it all due to so much chipping. And yes, I fully prepped by cleaning, sanding, and priming first.
Oh no! Sorry to hear about that! That must have been frustrating. I have never tried the Rustoleum, but I would never recommend it only because I know that the Bathworks has worked for me. The guys who sell Bathworks is a family-owned business and they actually use the same Bathworks product to refinish customers' homes, as well as businesses (like hotel bathtubs and showers). The product they sell to us is the same product they use themselves. They just have fancy paint sprayers to apply it and I used the roll on kit. If you have removed all of the Rustoleum, you could use Bathworks! Worth a shot!

Get the ventilator she's wearing or simular. That smell is rough. Follow the instructions to the letter, and take your time. It does change the whole look of a bathroom. I had pink. 🫣
I completely agree! The smell is no joke. It infiltrates your clothes, too. But it does dissipate after 24-36 hours!

I take a bath a few times a week. How often do you use your tub?
We use this shower daily, usually twice for me, once for hubby! It's still holding up!
The shower look amazing. That was COLD ...Port-a-potty..LOL. Just imagine what the builders were thinking back in the 70's. Excellent content!
