For sure man! I haven't seen that many maritime mobile videos on here - so trying spice things up! Just need to get a mast setup and run the CAHRtenna in an inverted V 😂
Will do - next time we do this I’m going to try and leave earlier while there’s still daylight. We didn’t head out until around 2100, so really hard to see what the hell I was doing lol.
One of my favorite channels.
Thanks man!
Sweet!
Nice activation!

Awesome out on the boat
Thanks! It was pretty spontaneous. Need to work on the grounding!
Also a mariner here, I think Radio on fishing boats is what lead me to Ham radio. Maritime Mobile for the win!

Great video, fellow Mainer here awaiting to take my technician test, looking forward to getting on the air!
Thanks man! I saw you finally got your ticket a few months back. Cheers!
@@Transmissions yup I've been bitten by the HF bug
The wolf river coil would be far more efficient than a hamstick. Chck a ground wire in the.

I wonder how the WRC would have been if it was grounded to the hull of the boat (assuming the hull is metal)
For sure. Next time we’ll head out during the day, where we can mess around a bit easier.

Holy crap, how are you doing it on 5 watts?
I cheated a little and pushed it to 10w with an external battery. The ocean makes for a good ground plane!
@@Transmissions well, even with 10 watts it’s very impressive. Love the videos
Thanks man, trying to do something different than everyone else.
Thanks! Hopefully you’ll see more as the summer ramps down. Been really busy!
