Quick QSO with ZL1MRC on 20m SSB, using my IC-705 at 10w with a fan dipole. I’ve got the 705 sitting on my nightstand with some coax running through a crack in the window out to a fan dipole doing 10/20/40. 20m has been really awesome lately into the early hours of the morning.

Notice only one mic connect is plugged in- why not plug both in? I have the 705 also and love it
I still like using the built in speaker as opposed to the one in the mic 😁 Great radio agreed!

@@Transmissions it’s funny - I’m always interested in antennas - I’m qrp and mm and I want simplicity and effective! I haul a 23’ wire up the mast and drop a 16’ counterpoise in the ocean and get along. Looking for new options on qrp. Thanks. KN6SSO

Never saw this before, I activated this park last year shortly after you shortly before my first Covid shot. I gave myself an extra hour to activate. Used to live in South Berwick for 24 years until we sold our home and moved all the way south to Portsmouth in Nov of last year. W1ND

Probably one of the worst videos I've ever seen. Marianne Faithful in the throes of her drug addiction. I don't know, if she ended up on the street after this that doesn't say a lot for Mick Jagger. At least think he would try to get her into rehab or something. But to film her in this, she is fortunate she's still alive.
She had a film career on her own and was in several movies. She was also in the production of Hamlet in 1969 after the film that is in this video. She was divorced before meeting Jagger and had substance abuse problems including a failed suicide attempt. She is lucky to be alive as she now says!

Will do - next time we do this I’m going to try and leave earlier while there’s still daylight. We didn’t head out until around 2100, so really hard to see what the hell I was doing lol.

I cheated a little and pushed it to 10w with an external battery. The ocean makes for a good ground plane!

I got Germany, Italy, and Slovenia - beach portable 6 watts ssb 20 meters , 1/4 wave vertical, in early July from a northeastern Mass beach at night .. and last week 6 watts ssb 9,694 miles Western Mass to Australia 20 meters inverted vee at 54 feet - with a good recording of it.

I got mine and the backpack for my birthday. A relative bought it for me when they found out I was studying for Tech. Of course, Little did they realize I really can't fully take advantage of this unless I at least got my GENERAL (HF and D-Star).
