After 15 years of his voice being destroyed it’s finally back in 2019, the king has come home
Now he sings well again and has released a great album but it's not still the same. We will never hear again the voice he used to have in the 90's...
Markis BR his voice is similar to his late 90s/early 2000s voice. His voice in 95/96 was probably the best voice I have ever heard nothing will ever match that
He had to take his vocals more seriously since he is now on his own
@@markisbr don't compare 24yo to 47yo lol
true , he couldn't have avoid ageing ( a MAJOR cause of voice change ) but he could've changed his awkward stage stance , done vocal warm ups , engaged a vocal expert , avoided cigs , booze & drugs ( basically treated his rare & unique gift more seriously ! )
I don't care much for the vocals in this performance, what makes it so memorable is that people from ALL OVER THE WORLD were singing along and enjoying the music all together in one stadium. Love it!
THEY WERE DRUNK
And 8 years later it's a luxury to do that
@@germangonzales2008 nope. They are enjoying it.
@@DevinEdiriweera hi Devin 🙏
@LOL LUL yes. But even so its still a huge hit.
sounds like liam gallagher doing a parody of liam gallagher doing a parody of john lennon
yeah he lost his touch :(
lol I agree
hahahah i totally agree, it was my thirst thought.
i think i read an article where Liam says the ghost of John Lennon lives in him futher.
(sry for my bad english)
hahahahaha
good one
You can see that Liam's passion for music is so pure. Idk but this performance was something beautiful, don't care if his voice was'nt right, but this was a perfect moment, all the people waving arms and singing along. Live forever Liam
Totally agree with you!!
Liam was always a kind of misunderstood guy, but no one can ever question his passion for music and Rock&Roll.
Liam and Noel have differents voices and personalities and theirs versions are totally differents but I like boths..
☺
Are you sure about that ? In England, Liam's fans are alot than Noel, And you know the fact ? 70% Oasis's fans Love Liam and Hate noel, Because they know, Liam has an Pure heart and More honestly.
He is the kindest gentleman in person when you meet him. Forget all the tabloid stories about Liam...if you're a fan and you come up to him for a chat, he will indulge you to your hearts content. I've met him 3x over the years and he's been so lovely each and every time.
That’s awesome to hear!
he had to change his voice for copyright reasons
mewow LOL!
NOICE
Lmfao
mewow i
Tin303 1000th like
He's back now AS YOU WERE
Why Me, Why Not is an amazing album fun to watch this now that Liam is back on top
CMON YOU KNOW LGGGGG X
It sounds like Liam is trying to do an impression of himself from 20 years ago xD
lol you 100% nailed it
Sounds like good ol' Kermit the frog.
Noel called Beady Eye Britain's first Oasis tribute band, so you're not the only one
He doesn't have the 'power' behind it.
😂😂 so true.
Say what you want about his voice, this was a memorable moment and his presence on stage was top class, I admire his confidence and the way he salutes the audience at the end. Noel is the brain and talented hard-worker, but Liam is the spark and bridge to the audience. This song will always work better with Liam's voice.
Yes sir. People that argue about Liam and Noel don’t realise that they were both a part of the “master plan” that they achieved. I hope they make up (although it’s unlikely)
.....if you listen carefully you can hear Noel Gallagher at home watching this and laughing !
X))
+revol148 haha no.
+revol148 Yes,i´m sure about it
!
+revol148 Don't see Noel playing at the Olympics ? Seems Liam is probably the one laughing
+MrSixiesRock Noel has kept his integrity intact but for sure it was Liam who left the stadium with the big fat cheque in his pocket - what's more important do you reckon?
As a big Oasis fan, I'm sad about Liam's voice...
He Has a wah wah pedal into his mouth!
jajajaja this are in the 2012 but now in the 2014 his voice are so good
Nicolas Maruri
That's good news!
thanks
But better than the lasts 5 or 6 years of Oasis...
i saw this on tv in 2012, i was 11 years old. i's never heard of this song, oasis, beady eye, any of that. i did not understand how wonderful this truly was. liam doesn't sound the best, sure, but this really united the world for one very needed feel good moment.
to me, this version is really historical because Liam played this song after a long long time and it was played at Olympic so whole world can witness this event. This version became more interesting because there's an orchestra in it. I really love it. I don't really care about his voice at this event because to me, able to watch Liam played this song is really phenomenal.
Liam has achieved such a massive accomplishment here. His status as a nation treasure has seen him play a gig for the Olympic games opening ceremony, as a musician, I can not imagine many bigger and more awesome events, the stadium is so vast it would be such a great experience. Well done Liam.
England, the best country, with the best musicians
I have been in USA and europe cities, England the place with much better music and musicians.
Brandon Walton Though most of my favorite bands are from the UK, the United States have Nirvana, The Killers, The Strokes, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Bob Dylan, Alice in Chains, The Doors, Blink-182, The Ramones, Foster the People, R.E.M., The White Stripes, Talking Heads, Neil Young, Weezer, Metallica, The Smashing Pumpkins, Aerosmith, Pearl Jam, The Black Keys, MGMT, Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Van Halen, Steppenwolf, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Eagles, The Byrds, etc... I don't like a lot of bands that I just named, but they're still without a doubt world class bands. Don't Sell America short.
Taz Heat Well that's a relief :D!
I think we should all know this to be true
We invented nearly everything important, pioneers of nearly everything, theirs a stroke of genius in our blood. It's not rocket science why so many people from the east flock here pretending to be us. This isn't ignorant, this is fact, it's ignorant of the people on here saying anything different. Lead singer of Smashing pumpkins said it early on the radio that America is at a standstill for music and Britain has always been an influence on Americans and their music. That we have always been a central point for music. That came from Billy who is one of Americas recent greatest musicians in rock and roll
Oasis was such a great band to bad they self destructed. Something has to be said that the UK gave us many great bands and music.
agreeeeee
We also gave the world America, so we can claim responsibility for their music too, good or bad
JD21 Not so sure if you "gave" us America. lol
Some might even say that it was taken.
Ben Sherlock 1 direction!
10 years later he sells knebworth out twice. And everyone said he was finished. Absolute legend
I wish this is Oasis
I agree with you.
I think this is good choice, but I also want to hear Oasis's live
My opinion too
hope oasis never make a come back tour. it wouldn't work. let the legend improve with time. never come back oasis
anton james As long as Noel & Liam are estranged from each other, we won't see an Oasis reunion.
no i know. kind of hope it never happens. but money will tempt them one day i fear
Liam Gallagher thank God for your voice, you are probably the last rock&roll voice alive
Lol, are you on crack or something?
+Agi Bold Liam Gallagher's voice in the 90's with oasis was absolutely untouchable. His voice died in the 00's and hasn't been the same since.
Liam Gallagher is still the best rock&roll voice and he is real. Not lilke the wrong called "artists" we see these days.
Je Eliana Axl Rose
Je Eliana Love his passion
これをリアルタイムで観た時にoasisを知り、洋楽に興味をもった。ありがとう。
Seeing this song performed at the London Olympics was a very moving experience. It is one of the greatest Rock and Roll love ballads of all time, and hearing it; even flawed and filtered through an audience's adulation; does little to diminish it's message and emotional impact. It was a great reward for us to hear one of our favorites on the biggest of global stages. Thank you.
Can we all just stop for a moment to appreciate the sound of the crowd singing along with him the whole time?
"I said maybe"
"maybe"
"you're gonna be the one that saves me"
"saves me"
I loved how the entire stadium joined in till the very end
1:14 That bass player looks like a mixture of Liam, Noel and Richard Ashcroft
Like all the english peoples
Exactly
And maybe John Deacon
Oh well, his voice is much, much better now.
Ben Swolo agreed
He sounds like he's singing through his nose
He is, that's kinda his style.
That's classic Liam
Just like Lennon
Because liam isn't known for his distinctive nasal voice...
haha yeah totally xD
A day ago, they suggested a reform for their 20th Anniversary of Definitely Maybe.
Why couldn't have they just pulled together for one little song to close the ceremony properly? It would've so much better seeing Oasis than Beady Eye.
because its their lifes, they can do what they want with them, were people who have never met them and arent respecting their decision, im not siding with noel or liam or denying it'd be amazing, but we cant make them, its their lifes.

Man wore a proper jacket instead of a parka to represent his country what a LEGEND x
He hasn't sang the "But I don't know how" bit like that since the 90's
1:33 those dabs though
1:16 That feeling when you've played a song over 5000 times
Noah Hvidberg Tøttenborg for him, that's true this feeling
People talk about Oasis getting back together for a tour but I don't think Liam's voice is up to belting out those massive anthems in large stadiums anymore.
Chris Smith what happenned to his voice?
Patrick Mauricio Luna Arreola twenty years of straining it at stadiums , cigarettes and alcohol
Nick Lindsey what a shame
I think Liam had a cold..
Oddly enough, I still love this live version.
Well then he has the same cold dating back from 2000 lol. Drugs happend.
+Muhammad Farrukh Honestly I think it was more the mic setup. Sounded better in Beady Eye than he did at the end of Oasis.
+Muhammad Farrukh LMAO ! the voice could have changed 15 years later
+Muhammad F. Noel said he didnt play because it is a playback, the same with McCartney unfortunately
+Beto Vc
its false
Better voice than Argentina 2006
Sure.
i agree that
Better than 2009
Argentina and vienna 2006 were his worst ever performance
A suh mayreh
am I the only one that kind of liked it in a weird way I don't know
Well no his voice is definitely not the same and that is mostly his voice just the sound kind of sounded nice to me
It's Liam Gallagher mate, enough said!
Haha so right Renato Buosi 👍👌
+Jonathan O I love this performance of him. Liam is love him or hate him. I love him and I have to say he sings pretty good compared to few years ago when he was almost unlistenable
+Standbyoasis Official wow what hapoened to you,in your instagram you hate liam
Doesn't Liam have a wonderful stadium voice. Lovely cool, clear performance even in this gigantic situation. No effort, no sweat.
The strings in the second verse are amazing
he sounds like Squidward Tentacles xd
Karla Gutierrez jj
Tenor!
+Your_Mums_Foot
Same lmao
Karla Gutierrez You meen Squidward Tortellini, right?
haha!

맨체스터 때 ㄹㅇ 세상 못입넛는데 ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 태극기패션
Yes, its clearly obvious his voice has changed over time, happens to everyone obviously. But Oasis were one of the biggest bands of all time, and this song is one of the best and most recognised songs of all time! No band deserves to be up there more than then to represent the UK, its a shame noel wasnt there to be by his side, but in my opinion, he still has that unique voice, he hasnt lost his touch yet!
I love Liam's voice here. I love his post 2002 era voice. It's more seasoned and just oozing with an attitude that's unprecedented in today's mainstream Rock n' Roll scene.
Me too. It sounds like John Winston Lennon.
5 years later and he sings this song 20x better.
Best moment of Olimpic Closing Ceremony!!! Liam Gallagher is Legend!!!
Liam's voice is great, and he's still a rock & roll star.
3 voice generations of liam.
1st- 1994
2nd- 2000 during the Familiar to Millions
3rd- this
+DazeBlaziken listen to cigarettes and alcohol in Sydney from January 2014 and tell me his voice isn't as good as it always has been. Eventually Noel will tire of these tiny gigs, he'll miss Wembley and the Etihad and a hundered thousand fans at live venues. They will get back together.
+t bi okay
Liam has back, being amazing more than never!
This doesn’t even sound like Liam. I’m glad he got his voice back
Crazy how far his voice has improved since this. 2019 MTV Unplugged was astounding
Crazy when you hear his voice in 2017. He's on another level these days!
2023 and its even better, he‘s definitely got himself a coach
LEGENDARY COMPOSITION!!!!! My all time favourite!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤🙌🙌🇰🇿🇰🇿🇰🇿
This song is gonna be my favorite forever❤
Que arreglo musical tan mágico, y la voz de Liam tan de pesadilla... Este show con Noel al frente, hubiera sido otra historia.
He's made a massive comeback though, his latest album is awesome.
This is better than 2006-2009
So much better now. Liam’s back!
grande cantor Liam Gallagher, Volta Oasis 👏😍💗
Concordo também acho o cara tem uma voz em tanto né pena que fez a besteira de desmanchar o oasis
I love their persona. It is so regal and masjestic
The string arrangement is gorgeous.
But how it has changed now........He is back!
Best closing ceremony ever. Galaxies and universes by far
London is the best, every performance was perfect touching everyone's heart
Imagine performing in front of such a huge crowd!!!!
To anyone wondering why noels not singing, noel left and the remaining members formed 'beady eye', I really like this performance, Liams musics gonna live forever
Ironically it's Noel's music.. :)
He sounds like he is holding his nose the entire time...
Despite this, I somehow like this performance. Not as much as the 90s, but I still enjoy it.
his voice seems like degrading by the time idk I'm an oasis fan but I feels like that his voice not the same as before but this is oddly satisfying
Back then, the world was a better place to be in
What a performance!! Incredible!!
I don't really care for his voice, I think this was an epic tribute to Oasis after 3 years without playing this song live...
Maybe there's gonna be someone to save Oasis, imagine Noel joining Beady Eye... Simply epic, hope one day it happens.
If (which won't happen) Noel joins Beady Eye, it will be Oasis.
Beady eye are dead to :( they split.
***** I've heard that they will be back ! Renamed BirdsEye ( from Beady Eye and Noel Gallagher High Flying Birds ) :D
Beady eye is gone
He sounds like he's holding his nose, but his voice still sounds so much more real than the other performers
This song changed my life
2021 missing these excellent Music Mondays with crowd.
Grande Liam Gallagher, que venha nos jogos olímpicos do Brasil 2016 👏💗
Liam lost his voice... hopefully he still have his nose...
He never lost his voice, it just had it's moments
with so much cocaine, he'll lose his nose as well lmao
BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES I LOVE YOU OASIS
Starts off like he is singing with his finger and thumb over his nose, gets better towards the end

No, I actually like this one
2012 Olympics? 2017 one love Manchester? ... No Noel 🤔
2017?.... Sometimes... Some things are bigger than your own issues
The King in Full Vocal!. Talent!. Real Talent. Listen, Listen and Listen again!, the stadium loves LIAM!
This song from Beady Eye still legend 9 years later.
THIS would've been the perfect time for Noel to just appear out of nowhere.
In my opinion , if liam starts a solo project now, he does absolutly need to take singing lessons or sth, he has an awesome voice but there's not even a bit of the power in it, that he sued to have. He also should get at least some of the old oasis members (Bonehead, Guigsy, McCarrol etc) into the band or make some singles with other britpop bands/singers like Richard Ashcroft or Travis. He wrote some great songs like "I'm outta time" or "Songbird"., so he can write some good songs without Noel. Even though I'd absolutly an Oasis reunion,(which is very unlikely) I'm really looking forward to his solo project.
I agree :)
There's talk of him collaborating with Lee Mavers.
***** Tony's problem was always with Noel, not Liam. Liam had gone to see him after he was sacked.
I'm pretty sure he's a trained singer, and that he's probably been taking singing lessons for years. You can see by his posture, his breathing, etc. Maybe this performance was marred by a throat infection or something, who knows.
MoogerTuber he is not a trained singer he would always lean back because he figured out early on it would give him more power.
I love this tiny drummer so much )
i really love this song, love the arrangement... still have their cassete of whats the strory morning glory back when i was in elementary school...
리암이 원더월로 괴롭힘 당했다고 인터뷰 한게 이 영상 때문인가 ㅋㅋㅌ
i've loved oasis for years, i remember when they announced that beady eye would be at the olympics closing ceremony i get so excited! But sincerely i liked more the spice girls reunion than this, and i didn't even know about the spice girls back in 2012
I loooove this so much!
OASIS LIVE FOREVER!!
Imagine 2019's Liam Voice on 2012' Olympic , it would be 💥🔥,, Man, i miss OASIS
Luckily his voice has gotten a lot better since this.
Liam sounds great here. Don't understand what people talkin' about his voice.
It’s literally how he sounds now which is ludicrous considering the same people say he sounds amazing now 🤨
@@SPRITEVIDS101well, people are stupid.😄
Such a classic.... Amazing song......
Beady eye did this becouse noel banged out. Great performance!
One of musics greatest tragedies was the rapid decline of Liam Gallaghers voice
Player One - Game Over while it's 100% better then it was it's not as good as it was even on the shoulder of Giants tour. He's done what he can to get it back but he doesn't have the strength and it gives put easily. Notice the odd concert he's forced to cancel as per doctor. He would never be able to hold up over a large stadium tour that day an oasis reunion would bring.

2011-2011

Respect for the man. His voice was ruined throughout the years. He had to make things right, with his family, with his voice, with his music. And he did it. He's happy now. And after all he's our wonderwall.
