Alexandra Moltke was *so* beautiful (still is, in 2015!!). And as Vicky here she's showing some real force of character. I think Moltke didn't perhaps truly appreciate how very important her Vicky character was to the show - she was kind of a moral compass, moral grounding, in the show, for the viewer...I really wish she'd stayed in the show after the 1795 and 1970 storylines. But Moltke wanted to have her children and move on...too bad for DS, though Julia and Barnabas & Angelique became more prominent after her departure.
atlantic 11561 .. I know right? All she has to do is make a striking facial expression, and it's just riveting how freaky she can suddenly look. I did some research on her, she's been in a LOT of stuff, a lot of TV shows and movies. She may have honed her freak-side in some other sci-fi stuff.
A friend of mine is an actor in New York, and he knows Diana Millay. She is now 80, and still lives in New York, and is a celebrated Broadway and stage actress. I am told that she is a very gracious and nice person in real life, as nearly all the DS actors are or were.
Yeah, Burke needs Laura & every other woman in Collinsport. A couple of episodes ago he hit on Laura & literally in the next scene hit on Vicky. I'm surprised he hasn't tried it on with Mrs. Johnson! Anyone in a skirt seems to be his type of woman. I don't understand his immediate obsession with a woman who helped send him to jail. He hates Roger & wants to hurt Liz just because she's a Collins, yet Laura gets off Scott free. I get that he was crazy in love with her once, but when you are burned that hard by the woman you love it would cause a lot of resentment, not blind obedience. Stop thinking with little Burke & grab clue. Is it really that hard to believe that the woman who testified against you then married your best friend for status & money is a cold blooded snake?
As Roger said to Carolyn earlier, Burke has incredible range when it comes to women. Younger, older, pretty, or average - it's about the conquest, not the woman.
I don't think the actress playing Laura is all that special. She didn't have the reaction that Dr. Guthrie kept insisting she had and that the dialogue required. Her expressions rarely change from the same ones shes used from the beginning. Other than scary eyes, she doesn't bring much to the part.
I like Dr. Guthrie. He was a good man. Thanks for posting these wonderful classic DS episodes. Most appreciated.
Guthrie, you're pushing it......Phoenix angry!
Dr. Guthrie seems to enjoy poking the tiger with a stick, believing the cage will always be there to protect him.
Oh dear, she's done it again! That Laura!
the new sitcom, thats our laura
Aw man, when that fire music starts, it's bad, really bad.
What happens when you play with fire, Guthrie?
what goes in the fire, stays in the fire. :)
Wow I guess Laura needed the body🤔🤔🤔

So, does the disappearance of the body in Phoenix indicate that Laura's time is TRULY running out? She seemed horrified by the news.
atlantic 11561 .... this seems to be the implication, right? She's on some sort of a timeline, and the body disappearing is connected to this.
Laura was freaking weird!

I think in some way she has people under her spell, so I am pretty sure that is the real issue here. Otherwise, I fully agree with you.

I was getting SO tired of this doctor anyway(smile) I'm quite partial to Laura and her powers(smile)
Resting from doing what???
Dark shadows ran some of their story lines way to long to me.
The Phoenix story line for sure....Love the show tho!
Jovonna Holman me too. I use to get off the school bus and runnnnnnnnnnnnn home every weekday to see it.
+Madam X Me too! Couldn't wait to home!
Jovonna Holman Heeeeeeeee he he.
Vicky Vicky VICKY! Why are you blabbing to Burke? He's going to run to laura!
