Bombadil wasn't nearly as bad as I thought he'd be. The reason is he was played by Rory Kinnear who is an absolutely brilliant actor who's a master of pathos and presence. Best part of Penny Dreadful.
Are you getting Orakei confused with Orc? Like all those Guys from the Two Towers were Orakei, not Orcs like can be seen in the Ranks of the Return of the King... Also these are pre Sauron warping them to his Evil Minions, over Generations of Control, so they are Not Going to be Pure Evil Yet, just your Regular Sort of Evil... And they don't get Grown like Saruman did in the Two Towers, because Orcs and Orakei are Different, although they look similar except Orakei are Bigger and Tougher and have way better Moral and better at taking Orders... I worked on LOTR and one time we had to disinfect all the orc prosthetics because two of them got caught doing it behind the set at lunch time. So they definitely can have families.
As much as I hate what they have done to my childhood favorite franchises, I love your content having to absorb every bad decision they make! It's glorious
Some of the landscapes and the more convincing CGI'd architecture of their Middle Earth are pleasing. It's just a pity the rather woeful cast with their terrible dialogue gets in the way of it.

Plus the NZ landscape in both 'versions' is put to great effect. Agree that the effects on RoP look inferior at times. I was just being charitable as that's the only aspect of RoP that isn't lousy.

I'm perfectly happy watching season 2 through this channels eyes. Grimacing my way through season 1 was more than enough. Also i don't want to make Amazon think that they should make a season 3 by giving it anymore views.

Even if orcs have families, it wouldn’t be a loving family. They are corrupted creatures. That’s something Tolkien has made creatures. Mostly the mother would be birth machines, the babies taken and only the strong will survive .

They ARE evil, they are doing evil, they are horribly corrupt and depraved beings, they can be pitiable but it doesn't excuse their doings when they were on their own....and that was doing the same thing they did as servants of the Dark Lord perpetuating the same violence, orc tribes of the Misty Mountains had 'petty realms' of their own, but they were far from peaceful, and they hated other folk and often were hateful towards each other, feuds and treacheries among their own, lots of infighting etc. when they are slaves of the Dark Lord they oftne get dominated in their minds and wills and so become even more like instruments of destruction in their hands...they can rebel and think for themselves when they are not dominated and mind controlled through the projection of the Dark Lord's will but still they often gravitate towards evil, this is the only thing they know.
@@ecksearoh6283 That doesn't make them pacifists though. My interpretation is that orcs don't always like or fancy what Sauron orders them to do, however they do enjoy violence and fighting. Orcs left on their own would probably form raiding bands or slave societies. Goblin Town is a good example.

She is rather proud of it, she hand stitched it from the skin of travellers using animal fur for the collar and a fine bone necklace out of the smaller.....townspeople, yeah. She dyed it a fine mud brown and during the ceremony her and Mr urg-kill had a gore confetti thrown made from the former prisoners as well as the banquet.
This is great! Way better than the actual show whose plot seems to rely heavily on most of the characters being stupid and easy to manipulate

@ecksearoh6283 I seem to recall folks not abiding by that rationale for a certain batch of folks who guarded camps in the 1940s. J/S, "I'm just following orders" doesn't count. I refused lawful and unlawful orders when I served.

Orcs idea of amusement...torturing prisoners, "'Why alive? Do they give good sport?'" siad the orcs about their captured prisoners Merry and Pippin, so yeah Orcs love to kill stuff, love going raiding and pillaging, looting, love killing..of course orcs have variety of motivations, some served Dark Lord unwillingly:
“They were a gang of the smaller breeds being driven unwilling to their Dark Lord's wars; all they cared for was to get the march over and escape the whip."
And there are some who are faithful servants of Sauron, Grishnaks calls himself trusted messenger, he even seems like 'secret police' type, many orcs wanted to win their master's praise and rewards given to them ("'... Then you'll fly off with our prisoners, and get all the pay and praise in Lugbúrz, and leave us to foot it as best we can through the Horse-country.")
They ARE evil, they are doing evil, they are horribly corrupt and depraved beings, they can be pitiable but it doesn't excuse their doings when they were on their own....and that was doing the same thing they did as servants of the Dark Lord perpetuating the same violence, orc tribes of the Misty Mountains had 'petty realms' of their own, but they were far from peaceful, and they hated other folk and often were hateful towards each other, feuds and treacheries among their own, lots of infighting etc. when they are slaves of the Dark Lord they oftne get dominated in their minds and wills and so become even more like instruments of destruction in their hands...they can rebel and think for themselves when they are not dominated and mind controlled through the projection of the Dark Lord's will but still they often gravitate towards evil, this is the only thing they know.
@@ecksearoh6283 That doesn't make them pacifists though. My interpretation is that orcs don't always like or fancy what Sauron orders them to do, however they do enjoy violence and fighting. Orcs left on their own would probably form raiding bands or slave societies. Goblin Town is a good example.
