@@ChokeArtist411 well I don’t know. I mean there arent many recordings of him playing so not many people would really know Takashi Sasaki was Casiopea’s drummer let alone know of his existence. I think he might be regarded as underrated in terms of not being extensively known due to lack of information about him.
i know Sasaki's drumming is sloppy sometimes, but the feeling of imperfection with just lack of control makes me really like his specific playing style
@@pulsar-_-4504 right on the money. I think that with Akira Jimbo the band gained a more versatile drummer that took less space while still maintaining a perfect pocket but at the same time, looking back to their earlier work, Takashi Sasaki was a monster on his instrument, like you said sometimes sloppy but he seemed always willing to try new things (at the risk of sometimes losing the pocket) He will always intrigue casiopea fans i think! Thank you very much for your comment Pulsar
Could you do some of Chuck Raineys basslines on Donald Byrds 70s albums? Like "Blackbyrd" , "Street Lady", "Places and Spaces" etc. Some really intricate basslines there that are hard to hear but are really cool :)
@@Gormit I'm glad :) You should check out Mizell brothers discography en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mizell_Brothers . They used Chuck on alot on their stuff. My favourites are the Bobbi Humphrey records and Johnny Hammond. Of Donald Byrd: It would be awesome to hear: Sky High, Places and Spaces, Wind Parade. Just put up the ones you like and I'll be happy with that tbh! :)
One of the underrated Japanese drummer ever
Is he really underrated?
@@ChokeArtist411he lowkey fell off the face of the earth after he left Casiopea in 1979 which is not long after their debut
@@xethanndonttryme6983 but that makes him underrated?
