The reason you cant appreciate the LPVO, is vecause like most people you're only shooting inside 100 yards at known targets. For everyday citizen shooting the red dot is going to be superior from a comfort and speed standpoint. If you have to identify, range and engage targets in the 200-600 meter envelope, and still maintain CQB capability, the LPVO shines.
I had high hopes for my LPVO's too but I found the weight and bulk of both optics (1-10 and 1-6 Vortex Razors) to be less than enjoyable. I currently just have a T2 and Comp M5S on my 556 and 300 BO and Im perfectly fine with it.
I like them just mixed feeling about using it stand alone vs having a 12 o’clock dot for all the 1x stuff Red dot and mag I can comfortably shoot out to 400 so that’s been golden for me.
Imo, it would depend on your pistol grip. It would effect how far you finger would reach depending on the angle of the grip and if it has a large, small, or no beaver tail at all.
Ah good catch! Something I didn’t think about and will be trying soon. With being a smaller handed person I’ll probably notice what was mentioned above, when going to a B5/ magpul k2 grip.
Got those or the PMM/Velox BCD on mine for the past 8 years. Never clacked one off cause I keep my finger straight when I hit it Also it helps a lot more when you have a big Magwell attached cause it feels unnatural to come up with the thumb
@@Echo_6-9 when I got into the world of firearms 3 years ago everyone I watched talked down on them but fast forward, it doesn’t feel out of place and works pretty well. - will update if I do ND Definitely wanted that PMM VERSION but already have two of their paddles laying around and didn’t feel like waiting a week for them to ship it 🤣 not to mention they don’t do the velox one anymore which sucks.
Still remember all the bad lever haters just regurgitating that one video where someone ND. It was shooter error just trying to blame it on the equipment instead of flaming improper technique. You would think that as gun guys, you’d blame the person and not the inanimate object (here being the bad lever). We don’t blame guns for accidents or gun deaths yet those same people would blame the Bad lever? lol Maybe people should stop pushing in instead of swiping down as the design intended instead. Also, I don’t see those same people trashing the g36 for having a similar bolt catch located inside the trigger guard.

Yeah I agree, everyone made it out to be terrible attachment but if used right it’s actually pretty efficient.
