Love ypur teaching on Tunisian crochet
You know you've watched Toni's entire Tunisian Crochet catalog when you can quote along with certain parts of even a brand new video. "The first loop on our hook counts as the first stitch, so we're gonna skip the first vertical bar" and at the end of that row, "Now you want to rotate your work towards you so you can see the front loop and the back loop of the last stitch, and make sure you get under both to help maintain a neat left edge" (Which btw, is the one thing I could never figure out before your videos, so THANK YOU!)
I totally say these things to myself 🤣 @phnxgirl
OMG! No way! Someone who does it the right way using the back bumps!
I so appreciate you using that smaller metal hook to show the front and back loop on the first row! I eventually figured out, but no other tutorial has done that. They just mention rotating the work and say to make sure to grab the front and back loops. One person even called it a "little x"? Its never been so clear
In all my glory watching your tutorials! Tunisian has been my thing for a while now, and it gets little or passing notice from most designers. I have books of Tunisian stitches but “seeing is believing”! What looks like hieroglyphs on a page becomes crystal clear in your hands. Thanks a million!

THE best Tunisian crochet series ❤
I cannot tell you how wonderful your videos (and designs) are adding to my "learning in the pandemic" life is., I've knitted and crocheted forever. It's fantastic learning something new and you are the one making it possible. Thank you!
I wish more patterns were this easy and it doesn't curl and using cheap yarn . I love this pattern and it's in my budget during these hard times. Your instructions are spot on. Thank You
Thanks Toni! It is getting a little easier.
Thank you for your videos. You're a great teacher - a direct, objective, patient teacher. congratulations.
I “designed” a summer top for myself by basically knitting a tube. For over a year I’ve been trying to figure out a yoke. This beautiful stitch is it! Thank you so much for such an easy to understand tutorial. You are a great teacher!
I love these lacey tunisian patterns. Thank you for showing all these different stitches!
Fabulous!
Thank you very much Toni! You are such a wonderful teacher, so easy to understand, taking your time to show the smallest details. Thank you.
You really bring the written pattern to life Toni 🥰
I’m making my first ever blanket with this stitch (and my fourth/biggest Tunisian crochet project ever) Got my first set of Tunisian crochet hooks based off the Ali express video you did too! So far it’s going great, thank you for the very clear tutorial 🥰
Holy cow, you're really on a roll! Another great tutorial!
Thank you :)
I am a visual learner - Thank you for such clear videos & guidance ! One of my go-to teachers. “Let me see what Toni has on her channel” 🥰
Great instructions. Thanks
Excellent clear tutorial. Made learning this stitch easy. Thanks
Thank you for this easy to follow tutorial I love learning new stitches!! 🐰🐰
Thank you! Very beautiful. ❤
Pooh how I love this pattern in tunisian❣️
Beautiful stitch. I've never done Tunisian crochet, looks like something I need to add to my list of things to learn.
Looks like barbed wire. Love the look of this stitch!
You are awesome and you explain it so good thank you
This is such a striking stitch. I just bought my first O’Go and I cast on immediately. Looking forward to seeing this when it’s done. Thank you, Toni, for such clear instructions.
I am ABSOLUTELY LOVING this stitch!! Thank you so much for sharing more of your talents and inspiration! You’re my “go to” person for Tunisian hands down!❤️🌼🌺🌸❤️
I've just started Tunisian crocheting and really love the stitches! I now have your beginner's guide book and love your design patters! So excited to begin the poncho as soon as my yarn arrives!
Your explanations are so easy to follow. I always have a hard time at the end of a row, but you do a great job showing what to do. Thank you for that!
I was getting ready to start a different Tunisian pattern but when I saw this one I'm putting that one to the side and will be starting this today. Thank You for sharing, it's going to be fast, easy and beautiful! 🎀🎄🎀
Very nice and well explained. Thanks
Hello from India...wow what a beautiful stitch...thanx so much
Love your tutorials they are on point I will try and infuse them in a large blanket.
This stitch is quite wonderful! I’m on my fourth block for May’s block (for a month-by-month Tunisian blanket by another crocheter). I look up your Tunisian blocks and add one or more for that month, ALONG with the designer’s block of the month. I now have almost 14!
I love how you start each piece and how you make sure the left side is neat, as well. I’m using three shades of gray - a dark, a medium and a light, which is used for bordering each block. They’re looking great! Thanks.
This is a beautiful stitch. I really love how simple it is to do. Thank you for yet another wonderful video! 💖
I have been busy helping my mom rehab so I have been behind watching your tutorials. That said love the tunisian crochet stitches.
For crafting I am crocheting a handbag using Bernat Maker Home Decor. Yarn. You should try it. I love it. A filled t_shirt yarn is how I can explain it
Love all your videos! However, I am so grateful that you mentioned Netflix's Marcella! I am now addicted! I am a great fan of European/Nordic Noir! Thanks!
If you do the wrap between TS2tog from front to back (as with ts smock stitch) you get a better defined arrow. Thhis is the way Oana does it in her video for the Tunisian Arrow Stitch. Love your videos & am a big fan of Tunisian!
Hi Toni! Thank you again so very much for this Tunisian tutorial! It has become my favorite Tunisian stitch! ❤️👍❤️💜⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I absolutely love your tutorials ❤️❤️.
Very nice! I’ve never seen this pattern before. Love it!
I love this, thanks so much for the great tutorial!! 💜
Thank you your tutorials are awesome...you are so good at teaching!
NIice, i tried it out. it's easy and fast, thank you❣
Thank you! Can’t wait to try!🌺🌸🌺🌸🌺
Oh, I have got to try this stitch. Thanks!
Love the way you teach
Thank you ❤
So pretty and unusual, love it
I love textured stitches, I just wish the Right and Left edges could mirror each other
Muy bonitas sus puntadas de gancho Tunecino. Saludos.
Your videos are fantastic! thanks!🌺
Очень понравился рисунок и не сложно и красивый
Thanks!
Again …a great video!🌺
Wow thank you
Hi Tony! We are from India. My 11 year old daughter Jui(a great knitter/ crocheter) is your grrrrreaat admirer and says, " I looove your vdos as they are very inspiring and I try your stitches immediately. Pleeeease reply as your reply will increase my knitting/crotcheting speed instantly!
Thank you, this was so helpful!!! :)
Superb
I like your explenation. You are a nice voice
Oh boy, another cast-on. Maybe I will get it this time. Thanks
Thank you for sharing this video. I am new to Tunisian crochet and I am waiting for my first interchangeable hook. You’ve inspired me to try this method and I am loving it! I was wondering can you use Tunisian crochet to make a hat? Love your channel. Cheers!
Lovely. :)
Love your tutorials but would like to see the bind off row on these specialty stitches. Just to see how they’re done.
👍♥️♥️♥️Thank you
You make this look so easy ! I like watching even if I'm not doing a sample.
If one wanted to make a patchwork blanket of sorts, what other stitches would you recommend go with this??
I lose track of which row I'm doing. How do I know if it row 1 or row?
😁🙂❣
I’m wanting to create a 45x61 blanket, so what kind of hook do I use I’m so confused on the different styles and how to get size of my blanket with them. Sorry just very new to Tunisian crochet . I’m use to just crocheting.
Hi, I love tunisian crochet but when I make it curling happens. Is there something you can do to avoid it? Thanks
What am I doing wrong? The sample is rolling up making a horizontal tube. Is it the tension or will come right the more rows created?
Do you have a video on the Tunisian Herringbone stitch? I have a pattern with it, but for the life of me I can’t comprehend what they are saying. I simply doesn’t make sense to me.
How can we decreas or increase?
i just cant seem to match my chain of 15 with the stitch double count , what am i doing wrong????
How many stitches for lap Afghan
Toni, just a question, why it is called Tunisian crochet? Just curious!
What is the easiest way to learn how to crotchety? I have never picked up a needle before.
Watching and doing. Wal-Mart has Boye crochet kits for I think $15, and that's how I taught myself. It comes with a book, a couple different sized hooks, and a couple bits and bobs for crochet. You'd have to get a Tunisian hook separately, but the kit is good for the basics. If you need live instructions, I'd be happy to help!!
I'd agree with the watching and doing suggestion. I still struggle with reading patterns, but I learned to crochet by watching simple youtube videos and following along. I'd also offer you live instruction, but I'm still not great myself, so if you had any problems, I wouldn't be able to help :(
Definitely start by watching youtube and start with an easy, short project. I started with a beanie. Once you learn the basic single crochet and double crochet, you will be off and running...and addicted :)
Thank you all.
Keep watching Toni! She is a fantastic teacher...really shows you what to do with lots of close ups. I just discovered her videos and have learned two new stitches. Good for you for trying!
You don’t say what size hook you are using, I’m a beginner so I’d like to know please?
I do mention the hook size and yarn size at the beginning of the video.
