I've built a similar board using the Hirst Arts molds. I love the idea of using traffic cones as save spots. For cards, I just made cards myself and put them in magic card sleeves w/ trash magic cards behind them. What did you use for the lasers? I used red yarn, but I like the clean look of your lasers a lot.
Question for a seasoned RoboRally player: Any reason why you wouldn't just use the Radio Tower token as a Start player token and pass it clockwise at the end of each round (and resolve card interactions based on turn order instead of numbers)? Also, if you had a set of custom poker card decks for each player, would you keep the old damage system (locking cards with a missed turn to reset) or incorporate the new damage system (that adds SPAM cards)?
As for your first question, yes you could do this and none of the cards need to have any priority numbers at all. The downside is that players will always know who is going to move first which could make the game a bit too predictable. If you know the guy to your right is always moving his bot first, you could just tail him knowing that if he gets in your way you will just push him. If there was a possibility of you moving first, you might accidentally move in front of him which could mess up your whole turn. Trying to guess who will move first is part of the fun. I still prefer the old damage system that locks the cards if you take too much damage..
@@holybananagames733I will have to try it and see. I haven't played it much lately, but I do own all 3 versions. I do wish I could get all the molds for this version a bit cheaper.
This looks so fun as a craft project and to play on!
Amazing work!
Wow - this is beyond amazing - congrats - just got my first copy today of 2004 reprint - stoked!

I use florescent red duct tape cut into thin strips. This sticks down really well and you peel it up and throw it away when the game is done.
Génial !

The old damage system is much more fun. I had both versions, sold the new one.
@@holybananagames733 An even newer version just came out. I just got it today, so I don't know the differences.
@@bradandrews777 The newest version is better than the last one. BUT it is still not that good like the version in the video.
