@SUPERK1LL no they are the same sizes. Dome weight about 155 and he rides a Med. Its a little on the big side for turning, but he gets a ton of speed out of it.
I met brad through my friend ricky at the wave house in san diego. To have that much talent and such a cool personality dosent happen often. He is one of Gods creations that we can all learn from, not just in the water but in life in general. Im 55 almost to old to flow, and instead of flipping me off, he and Ricky took the time to get my fat, old, tired, cramped, ass way up in the hallow. thank you brad &ricky. hope to see you soon
holy shit! i came across this video on accident, this shit is crazy didn't even know this was possible, and whoever commented that failure of a sport bullshit, its called pushing the limit thats just what this kids doing. much love keep it going the world needs some new style
@jahrastapack We have had a couple broken legs and some hands/arms too over the years. But the real risks are repetitive injuries particularly to the knees, like any boardsport...
the recruit is a great board for the price. You should be comfortable riding it at the wedge. Just know that they arent as strong as our high end boards (no $300 board is as strong as the top end carbon fiber ones). On shape yes the hybrid is good although the pro shape may be a little faster down the line. the hybrid nose will be less likely to pearl though and easier on the drop...
@sarcasticSte The Recruit in a Hybrid shape would probably be a great board to get started on. Check out our website for more information on it! We can ship it to you direct from our factory if you like. Send us an email if you have any questions!
@jahrastapack barrel riding is about the safest place to be. Just like surfing you continue riding the wave unil it implodes on itself and burns all its energy, when possible. At the heavier spots it can double up and slam you pretty damned hard on the sand if you get carried in a bad way. However sand is a lot better than reef, so we arent complaining. The real trouble starts when people start busting airs and air drops... cause if you time it wrong its on the sand...
You gotta take care of those dings! :) To do a alternate/old color scheme will be no extra charge. You have to call or email the shop to see what pads we have in stock. 949-492-0284 Sorry, I am not there to check it out for you. Thanks!
@ExileSkimboards awesome! i hope to get a m/s exile for christmas and im 120 pounds but 14 so im growing.... and is the domke rocker better than the hybrid rocker for further out waves?
@TwistaX1 There is rarely such a thing as a board that is too light. I am not sure there is a board on the market that is too light. Lighter boards can be harder to drop in windy conditions, that is true. But generally a lighter board is considered a better board, as long as its still strong.
@eastcoastsalad all attempts I know of to get skimboarding on Fuel result in a response that goes something like "We dont do skimboarding". Write them a letter and let them know they are blowing it!
@Exileskimboards. I was wondering where is should put a traction pad on my board. i think i may have put it too far up,resulting in less air when i ollie and such. can you guys help me? where should i put the traction pad for future boards?
I have a question ! I'm buying a new fiberglass , osprey skimboard and i've only ever skimmed on a woody and i struggled to get far out without sinking!? Will i experience the same problem ? And if i do how can i cancel it out? Thanks alot!
To exileskimboards, hey! I'm an intermediate rider and I'm what size I should get if I way about 90lbs. Also if I have a certain color design I want on a board that I made up can I call you and would you be able to do it.
i have a question for any one who knows the answer. i began skim boarding last summer and got a cheap wooden skim board about 15-20 dollars. i began practicing in shallow water and want to move on to deeper water but can i do that with a wooden skimboard, and if not what type of skimboard can get me there.

When people turn sideways while riding out to a wave like at :52 is it a style thing or does it help you get out into the water farther?
mad skillsssss!
I have a question ! I'm buying a new fiberglass , osprey skimboard and i've only ever skimmed on a woody and i struggled to get far out without sinking!? Will i experience the same problem ? And if i do how can i cancel it out?

What software do you use for the editing ? I use Sony Vegas but I do not manage to make ink tasks for example, drawings or impacts.
@metallicarocks66 as long as it is sized properly it would!
whats a good begginer board im neww at this and im new with everything i thouhgt u only scim boarded on the shore not ride out onto waves but please answer it would be very helpful
LOOOKS SWEEET AS HELL!
California and Cabo mostly
domke is my idol
would the proshape with 5/8 thickness and domke rocker be good for florida conditions?
what board thickness would be best for south jersey area like cape may 5/8 or 3/4
the tailpad should be as far back as you can put it, without going on the rail of the board (you want it to all be on the flat part of the board) :)
A quick question do you think training surfing will help with skimboarding ?
How do I get the most speed i run pretty fast and get on the board well but i just cant really make it out to the waves?
"Stimulus" must be a pretty damn good movie if these clips didn't make the cut.
Have the professional skim-boarders gotten any serious injuries in the big shorebreak?
You should put the back pad pretty much as far back as you can.
PER FECT!
u guys should make a blair conklin mini movie
He's really good.
hey what video maker/editor did you use?? everything is cool....
@Jordanisbest You must feel pretty superior not knowing that this guy can probably ride any board better than you ever will.
ballin
I way 140 and I have a large pro ZAP. What do u think would be the right size for me
To exileskimboards i ride a zap rocketfish but im looking to try a exile board iv owned 2 victorias which i broke both somehow another. @SUPERK1LL Yeah, that should be a good fit.
1:53 is just sick!!!!!!
would a hybrid recruit be good for the wedge?
I have a question ! I'm buying a new fiberglass skimboard and i was told that it's so light it would blow away in the wind? D: is this true? PLEASE GET BACK TO ME

Or if I emailed you a picture of the design exileskimboards.
@TheMasterchief57 best board would be a zap board or a woody board
omg, i think it's a laser flip..
@Bigtymer14x Brad rides 5/8"
@SUPERK1LL not really, same shape just different logo placement and color
Groovy Baby is the shiz
@lordlane4 3/4" will definitely give you more float. Thats probably the best bet, maybe with a little extra taper...
hey im not here to dis skimboardin or anything. i was just wondering when these pull into a big closeout barrel doesnt it fuck u up? hav any of ur guys like broken bones or anything? i just saw the paulo prietto vid and it was sick but it looked like there was some nasty shiteating.
@TwistaX1 I have never heard of an osprey skimboard. You should go with a real skimboard brand to ensure you get something that is designed properly.
Fuck hes amazing.
cool..;)
