I had a 2008 silver Honda ridgeline when i lived in Arizona..Love it or hate i drove her til the wheels fell off..Well tail pipe to🤣..Good truck for all you haters...
I remember when the first gens were being teased by Honda. I remember talking about it all the time with a buddy I used to work with. We were both into Hondas and he had a Civic SI at the time. We talked about how it would probably compare with the Dodge Dakota in size and look like a proper truck. I remember talking about buying one as soon as they came out. Then Honda gave us this abomination. This sad, pathetic excuse for a truck. We talked so much shit on it after that!
I imagine that there is undoubtedly someone within earshot of Billy, just sitting there in their deerstand, wondering just what in the hell is going on just over the next ridge! 😂😂😂
The Honda ridgeline holds the title of most American made truck. Something like 95% something made from american parts, ford and Chevy can't claim since most are made in Mexico or Canada and "assembled" here
As someone who drove across his share of Russian offroad, I'd actually recommend to always wear your seat belts. They not only increase safety, they actually increase comfort factor when your suspension starts playing.
Seat belts aren't always safe. They kill just as much as they save. They are highly flammable and they are known for getting stuck. Had an uncle crash and his car caught fire seat belt was stuck it was middle of night and he couldn't reach his pocket knife. He died. There are many many other instances of seat belts killing or harming I do get what you mean though.
@@cloversnek6751this just isn't true. Seat belts save way more then kill. The main reason is that seat save people from serious head trauma from more mundane accidents such as rear. These accidents happen far more often and more people would die or get seriously injured if they didn't have their seatbelts on
Well, let's give "Carl" a little credit, y'all.... A: he didn't get his truck stuck in the mud, and.... B: he's wearing a pretty cool flowerdy shirt. Shush it, I remember when "JAMZ" were in style. 😂😂😂

I want a Ridgeline way bad haha. I recognize I most of the time I don't need full truck abilities and am happy to have it drive like an SUV, and have a bed for occasional things. Most people don't actually need that giant lifted truck for hauling their groceries..
I agree, but if you live in a state that reams you for comercial plates like CA then you may want to go full sized. The nice surprise on the Ridgeline is you can lay plywood and drywall 4'x8' flat between the wheel wells like you would on a full size truck. The J series Honda V6 engine's are proven. Just change the timing belt every 100K and you'll be fine.
@@danp7463 interesting what do you mean about the commercial plates? Didn't know that about the plywood that's way nice. Oh and good reminder on the interference engine.
You would like it. I have a 2022 RTL-E HPD Ridgeline. I was looking at a suv but since I like to mountain bike with friends and don’t want to take multiple cars I can put the bikes and e-bikes on the tailgate. Fits 6 bikes easily and is comfortable to drive since it’s on a AWD suv chassis. It’s perfect! A lot better than a big ford or ram which I would never put to full use. I don’t work construction nor do I off road or tow. I don’t know why people hate so much??
I remember when "truck guys" laughed at my 85 Toyota. They called it racist names and belittled its abilities. That truck was fantastic. I bought it new off the lot for $12,500. I was 17 and in love with that damn thing, My brother and I built it up, interior rollcage, Northwest Offroad suspension, 33" Super Swampers. Three RS 5000 (valved wrong) over the confer trussed front axle and duels in the rear with kickers. The list went on. Still miss that truck.
I had an ‘85 extra cab (which meant you could tilt your seat or extremely torture your carless friend). Also, I had 33” BFG AT’s which were huge back in the day. Now my stock Rubicon has the same size tires. LOL. Funny thing, that Toyota saw a lot more off-road than my Rubicon does.
My best friend had an 83, I've never seen a truck take abuse like that thing! I would stand in the bed and hang on to the roll bar while he would jump it at 45+ mph, climb hills, and go off-trail.allmover the desert. Ahh the stupidity of youth. I even stepped from his truck to my buddy's car and back on the freeway at 80mph. Had to pass the doob, and didn't wanna drop it! I had a Nissan hardbody, 4 banger, stock...offered to pull a K5 and a CJ out of a mud bog on my way past them. They both flipped me off, not wanting to get pulled out by a foreign truck without 40" swampers on it. When I came back an hour later, they were both covered in mud and still stuck. They took my help the second time. Best part is, I drove it up to the windshield in a "puddle" and sucked water in the intake, was running on 3 cylinders when I chugged past them the first time! That was a damn good truck!
My brother just picked one up and his hair is definitely going gray! It is a man van, he got it cuz his kid n fiance fit better in that than a civic lol
2007 Honda Ridgeline, 275000 miles. passed down from an uncle to me to my son in college. The White whale stands on the graves of two Ford 150s and a Jeep Commanche pickup truck. The Ridgeline is the stealth fighter aircraft of pickup trucks.

Had a "real truck" until I drove a Gen 1 Ridgeline. Sold my truck and my Lexus. Now I have the best of both in all I need. Just bought a 2021 RTL-E. I may never own anything else. Call it what you want. I call myself lucky to have found it.
I both own and love my Gen-1 Ridgeline, but I have to call you out on this one. That "Ridgeline" that you are talking about is a Ridgeline in name and badge only. Literally nothing about that Baja winner is stock. The engine is twin turbo-charged, the tires are 40s, tube frame, fiberglasss panels....RWD ....... yeah that's not a Ridgeline lol.
This is funny as hell. I own a ridgeline and love it. For what it is, it is awesome. If I was doing hard core off-roading or heavy duty work, it wouldn’t be my choice. But for a daily driver and a homeowner carrying the occasional piece of furniture or trips to Home Depot, tailgating, towing jet skis or ATV and probably camping, it is awesome. Although for camping maybe not because you can’t tow much😀 for what it is worth I have had a lot of people comment on how cool the trunk is.

What I will say is THE MOST underrated off road rig is a 2001 Chevy Silverado 1500 Z71 4x4 with the REGULAR CAB SHORT BED STEPSIDE! That wheelbase is the shortest of any half ton truck from any brand during that time and since. The wheelbase was so close together that it was almost like a late 90’s keep…almost. The fact is that the regular can stepsides didn’t sell well for Chevy back then so they didn’t make loads of them. And almost 65% of them ones they did make were either 2 wheel drive, 4x4 but without the Z71 package and most importantly NEVER with the 5.3 Vortec V8. They usually had the V6 or the occasional 4x4 with the smaller 4.6l V8. They were old man farm trucks and that was it. Well I found a ‘01 1500 Regular cab shortbed Stepside 4x4 Z71 w/ that 5.3 V8 and the damn thing was pristine, only had 74,600 miles on it and had no noticeable rust issues anywhere on the truck. I had my mechanic go over it with a fine tooth comb and he couldn’t believe the guy only asked $6,500 for it. He actually tried to buy it before me but I got it first! I added a 3.5 inch Rough Country Suspension Lift (I would later replace the Rough Country shocks with Reservoir Bilsteins after almost a year. I added an ARB Front Bumber with 2 Hella 500 LEDs flush mounted into the bumber, eventually put a 13,000 lb Superwinch in that winch bumper, added additional dual LED Light Bars on the roof rack where I mounted two extra gas cans, a waterproof go pack & emergency shovel, axe. I then added a ARB Air Locker in the rear axle with the air compressor fitting perfectly in a open spot in the corner of the engine bay, I thought about getting a front locker but they aren’t cheap and so far it’s all I’ve needed. I went with 33 inch Nitto Terra Grappler A/Ts at first and liked them so much I just put a new pair of them on the 16 inch matte black Mickey Thompson steel wheels. Flowmaster 50 series true dual exhaust, AFE Stage III cold air intake, Edelbrock throttle body spacer, Gibson short tube headers & high flow cats is I’ve done performance wise to the engine. It’s gained me some solid power and Tq that’s noticeable but nothing crazy. It’s Already around 300 Horses and over 370 lbs Tq so I don’t need much more for A relatively light half ton truck. I may put a Banks Gas Performance tuner w/ dash mount screen in one day but after that I’m done

We call those mall crawlers.
I own a Ridgeline and this video made me laugh. This guy is hilarious and when I saw he had a Ridgeline video I had to watch! I do get a lot of flak for owning a Ridgeline but I can tell you I've owned two, along with 2 other midsize trucks, and the Ridgeline blows them away; sorry but it's true. Come on, it did better "spinny circles" than the Tacomer!!!
Thank you for being able to take a joke! I’m not gonna lie…the Ridgeline made it through stuff today that I never thought it would. We’re gonna really take it off reading next and see what it’s really made of!
@@GingerBilly it is what it is but it aint a truck
Hahahaha highly doubt your Ridgeline blew anything out of the water.
@@Buildingstuff123 well the Ridgeline was by far superior to my Canyon and Ranger. Honestly the Ridgeline is very underated.
Probably the only reason you catch so much flak is because of Ginger Billie's videos. He's world famous. Lol. Truck gang🛻
Billy's wife is probably having fits about what Billy is doing with her new Honda Ridgeline. I mean it must belong to his wife because no man would admit to *ownin* a Honda Ridgeline TBH.
THICC
It's an old person truck.
I stole the Ridgeline. Taking it back as we speak.
This was awesome.
you proved the HONDA is milking that mud like a BOSS.
I got a sharp pocket knife .. who needs a shave ?
Man you had me rolling like all the way through this....genius, pure genius!

Yep he’s great!! 😂
I imagine that there is undoubtedly someone within earshot of Billy, just sitting there in their deerstand, wondering just what in the hell is going on just over the next ridge! 😂😂😂
I love how he refuses to use the wipers and wiper fluid to the clean wind shield so he can see where he's driving that ridgeline🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The Honda ridgeline holds the title of most American made truck. Something like 95% something made from american parts, ford and Chevy can't claim since most are made in Mexico or Canada and "assembled" here
howd you like those spinny circles?
Most fun I’ve ever seen someone had in a ridgeline
I love how Billy forever looks like he's a 1st grader who needs to go pee but the teacher won't let em 😂😂😂 #peedance
These accidents happen far more often and more people would die or get seriously injured if they didn't have their seatbelts on
But they also kill they are highly flammable they don't always save
Well, let's give "Carl" a little credit, y'all....
A: he didn't get his truck stuck in the mud, and....

@@danp7463 so happy you dropped some knowledge bc I was really interested in a Ridgeline alternative
Lol, loser party!
Small trucks for the win
Now! Everyone would sell there grandma for that truck.
Every time you see a Ridgeline check the driver: gray hair. Accurate!!

My 03 ranger's rear bumper can be hit by an anxious towncar and wrenched straight with a good chain and any price of metal that weighs more than 1300 pounds, my dad grazes the back corner of a Honda Ridgeline in his old beat up 97 'stang while backing out, came out without a scratch and then the bill for the Ridgeline with the slightly popped bumper plastic was about $1400.
Credit where due, that ridge line did make it through the puddle. Lmao.

When I was in high school my friend had a Ridgeline. We brought it off road and had no issues on sand, dirt or mud. Even crossed a shallow stream.

Pending on whos v8 it is..
How big of a camper do you need? Thing can do 5000lbs pretty comfortably.

I like trucks. I've got an old F150, a Bronco, and a Tundra. A good friend of mine has a Ridgeline. He grew up in a country where it was once illegal to privately own a pickup truck. BS. Ridgeline are cheap junk
Tbh. That swingaway tailgate and "trunk" look pretty handy 😆
