I took a train to Turkey's snowiest city (Erzurum)

In this video, I spend 24 hours in Erzurum, Turkey's snowiest city which sits at around 2,000 m altitude. I learn about the Silk Road history of Erzurum, check out its wonderful castle and learn about skiing in Turkey.
I discovered that Erzurum is one of the best hidden gems in Turkey with beautiful madrassas and rich culture.
If you're looking for off-the-beaten-track places to visit in Turkey I definitely recommend Erzurum!
How to book the Eastern Express/ all trains in Turkey
Book trains in Turkey by downloading the TCDD app which you can translate into English. E-tickets are accepted. You can buy both high-speed and Eastern Express tickets on the app.
HOWEVER, if you want a sleeper cabin on the Eastern Express, I highly recommend contacting a tour agency such as Amber Travel who can sort sleeper tickets for you. It's very difficult to get these tickets independently!
