I did not expect to get many views except from folks who want more detail of how to enjoy their sim experiences, so I was somewhat surprised when I have had pilots use this material to prep for transition to the 747. Thanks for being a subscriber...

Capt, if I may ask, I'm a 747-400 enthusiast who has his PMDG QOTS 2 747-400 since February 2017. Why must one side of the electrical panel must be turned off in order for the combi or freighter model side door or both side door and nose door to open?
APU 2 or EXT 2 must be Available (AVAIL, not ON) only in order to power the Main Deck Cargo Handling Bus. APU 1 or EXT 1 must be Available (AVAIL, not ON) to power the Ground Handling Bus. If you have 2 power sources on one side, like APU 2 ON and EXT 2 AVAIL, then that will keep the Main Deck Cargo Handling Bus powered...

for the realistic alignment go on the fmc MENU>PMDG SETUP>OPTIONS>SIMULATION>IRS OPTIONS and click on REAL
