GG is largely of credit for Brown keeping his job as long as he did. GG rallied the team to a strong finish two years ago and carried the team on his back to nine wins last year.
I am thinking 7-5 or 8-4 the first year. People can be unrealistic and childish expecting a Big 12 championship the first year. The Big 12 is tougher than the other conferences due to the even talent accross the conference. The otther conferences have a handful of the same teams that win the conference every year. It is so predictatble which teams will most ikely win the conference.
@@CHARLESSAILOR He was 3-8 with no pressure at all. He has tons now. He can’t do 3-8 again in year one. You also can fix and turn around quicker in this era. If he doesn’t win 7 or 8, it’s not much different than recent. He will also open with a lock win in week 1, something not the case in recent years. - Asti
3-8 in a very different time. He had tremendous roster turnover in year one and had no way to replenish. At that time, the opposition was pretty much standing pat year to year with little turnover absent a coaching change. The biggest advantage he has now is that everyone else is going to have significant roster turnover as well. For many teams every year is going to have to stand on its own during this era of total free agency.
I hope they all stay and put in the work, they'll be better in all aspects of life if they can handle the culture shock their about to experience. Thanks for your take on Nicco, Asti. Its not popular but true. We have to get away from endearing ourselves to these players. That age has left, to that extent. It's the WV logo, always the logo.
Is it possible that the qb rich is looking at might be a backup for a team in the playoffs, and he is waiting for them to finish and that guy then enter the portal?
Actually Nicco does well under pressure. Maybe he is a RR guy he doesn’t quit … Nicco may want to stay Nicco isn’t bad .. he just didn’t have The flare they GG had
Sorry Asti, I keep running my trap but I would like to keep Clement. Doesnt he remind you of a David Sills type? I think Sills was overall better but I think that potential is in Clement.
When anyone gets upset when we lose anyone from the defensive side I am surprised. There are 2 or 3 I would like to keep (2 are now in the portal) but if you watched OUR defense how can you not be relieved. If RR kept most of them I would really question his ability to judge talent.
I think as fans we are wanting sexier staff hires and proven transfers from P4. We've taken some "solid" FCS and G5 players in the past but with this influx of money we've all been sold on, we want a few Bugati's instead of V6 Mustangs. Why can't we be in the running for QB Beau Pribula from Penn St?
@@ShannonMiller-kc7hb I mean, Rod didn’t live off big 5-star recruits last time either. Brown also did bring in P4 transfers but they didn’t work out this year. Beau isn’t even proven but they should go after him. He could fit. - Asti
The previous coach would be taking the air out of the ball if Brett Favre was his quarterback. Zero risk football is zero risk. Just hope we can compete in the fourth quarter. 😅
How exactly is Rich going to win 7+ games with an almost 100% turned over roster that was a 500 team to begin with? I think people need to be realistic.
Lets get one thing straight Nicco wasn’t ever aloud to open it up under Neal Brown Neal’s offense was terrible. Every single one of his QB’s got worse over time. Rich Rod would make Nicco better thats a fact
Thanks for covering this subject.
C'mon Asti, we need to hear from you more! Respect you and Merry Christmas to you and Nespor if we don't hear from you soon.

Man Neal’s offense got him fired not Greene. Neal wouldn’t make his offense around Greene but instead tried to shoe horn Greene into his offense.

Neal Brown is a great person and family man but is a better fit for a G5 school. He was over his head at WVU.
Rich Rod’s first year in 3001 was 3-8. I don’t expect more than 7 wins the first. I would love to see better

Clement is a solid WR3, maybe 2. He’s a move-the-chains guy.

Nicco will leave here, possibly, as an undefeated starter!
