Texas to cover huh? How has betting against ASU worked out so far this year (you'd be 2-11 ats). Keep on doubting. I just hope you don't put your money where your mouth is. Let's do some math. They beat Clemson by 14. Clemson was a 3 loss team that barely won their conference championship in a conference that we'll just say is roughly equal to the big12. ASU is 11-1 with our starting QB and had our 2nd string in by the 3rd quarter in our championship. Oh and Texas was at home vs Clemson but at a neutral site vs ASU. But you think Texas will win this by more than they beat Clemson by? Great analysis...
Please come back after you see our team speed and line abilities decimate both your offense and defense. You're no Georgia and we should have beat Georgia in SEC championship but for some missed field goals (as just one issue).
@@stevenjosephcomedy look at the talent gap between Clemson and ASU and then think about your own post. They got a lucky post play penalty at the end of the game that wiped out a pick 6 and then they scored a TD, that swung 14 pts on one play. That wasn't the only points taken off the board for Texas through penalty. We dominated that game and Vandy was never really a threat. That was true of a number of games, where we seemed plagued by penalties. We executed much cleaner against Clemson, but we blew more 4th downs than Clemson did. We didn't really struggle against A&M, Ark, or OU, but he games ended up being a lot closer than they were played. When playing with a big lead, game theory often says get less aggressive and just run clocks which can lead teams to close leads, but never get there. And while talent doesn't guarantee victory, lack of talent puts a ceiling on how far you will go. TCU managed somehow to beat UM a couple of years ago, but then they were absolutely slaughtered by Georgia. There is a minimum of line capability and team speed necessary if you are going to win by anything other than some sort of fluke gillion turnover game.
