i think the sound is different from the usual , not cause of the strings, but cause of the Tune. Its tuned down half a tone man :) I dont think artists this big just put brand new strings on guitars and go out to play. They need the perfect tone.
I'm gonna push the boat out and say in my opinion his voice suits the newer gunsa songs better than axls voice did, listening to axl live nowadays is fuking torture, early gunsa stuff was more kinda punky rock which did suit axl better and I suppose made gunsa what they became .... massive !

@@reesejeffrey6063 It's actually harder to reach a powerfull singing voice when sitting since you have less core power (abs and diaphragm). And comparing singers isn't the best thing to do, especially with Axl and his 6 octaves reach...
