I've owned 4 solina strings, and met the dutch engineer who build them several times, he is the most humble and nicest person you will ever meet. This sounds EXACTLY the same, well done.
It's a very nostalgic sound. I admired SOLINA, and 50 years ago I made strings similar to SOLINA using 3 BBD elements (1024 stages), an operational amplifier, a 49-key keyboard, and 10 printed circuit boards. I had a hard time with the 3-phase chorus part of BBD. I phase-modulated it with two types of LFOs (about 0.2Hz and 5-7Hz), but the BBD produced a huge noise, so I needed a noise gate. Since I made it myself, I was able to create phase circuits in 120° increments, and there were no patents involved. After that, I connected KORG's Digital Chorus SDD-3300 to KORG's PolySix to obtain a 3-phase chorus tone. Right now she's using her Solina V2 software synthesizer from Arturia on Cubase 13.
6:23 to my knowledge the mark 2 was also mono but with an on/off switch for the modulation (ensemble effect) on the right of the keyboard (the mark 1 doesn't have a modulation on/off switch). The mark 3 was the first edition with stereo output and had the modulation switch on the right next to the horn button. And then the mark 4 was the same as the mark 3 but with leds in the instrument buttons. Please correct me if I'm wrong! Great virtual Solina guys!
HI Glen, I've enjoyed your demos of the latest two releases (Matrix and Solina) - could you do a retrospective of the older Arturia s/w? You obviously know your stuff and add a useful perspective to these synths.
Loving this. I bought this as soon as I saw it. Working on Pink Floyd's shine on you crazy diamond. Is it possible to use the sustain pedal to hold chords for extended periods of time while I use my hands on other keyboards? I can't seem to make sustain pedal work with this instrument.
I used to own one and this nails it. Sounds weird but I can actually smell mine when I listen to this. Seriously the Solina had a unique smell to it....that is not modelled.

Thank you :) we truly appreciate!

You have a comforting voice
This is incredibly faithful to the originals. Very well done, Arturia.
That sounds wonderful! Ensemble + phaser makes *the* sound that takes me back.
Sounds gorgeous! Never mind the nitpickers.
How important is to know someone like you who can teach how to use the presets. Excelent

the ensemble makes this instrument awesome!
One of my fave VSTs.
Any chance of an iPad version?

sound synth Jean-Michel Jarre mythique 👍
Concise historical overview. Thanks
Where is the tuning section? I noticed that it cannot be tuned!
It sounds very nice. But Arturia, why the GUI is so small, please make it resizable.
Hi Martin, the GUI is resizable :)
Fantastic demo. Thank you.
Agree with the guys who would like a resizeable instrument window and the use of a sustain pedal. Other than that, this thing is AMAZING!!
The vox humana was a present Gary Numan used playing a Moog PolyMoog.
I would love to use this, but I can't login to activate it!
Hi, you should try to reach our support team, explain them what is going wrong and they well help you out with this issue
Sounds good as many of their products, but I wish they would fix their bugs :l
This sounds delicious... please, Arturia, "port" this to the iPad :-)

It doesn't have that special sound of the original, because the modulations are always the same, start always in the same phase.
This goes far beyond the original.
+James Reeno haha, every software goes far beyond the original, that does not mean it sounds better
@@SPAZZOID100 LOL dude I think you need to check your ears first.
ARTURIA REFUSES TO RESTORE THE SOFTWARE KEYBOARDS AND SPARK DRUM MACHINE I PAID FOR AFTER MY LAPTOP CRASHED. ARTURIA ARE SPAM. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF.
