Thanks for the links. That's really helped.
Thanks for the link. Such a unique aircraft for my collection. I ordered one, they are on back order for a bit longer but I'm in line anyways...lol
Another great video also!
Blessings to your young family.🛩
Nate I can't believe the crazy weather y'all are still having I live in the deep south where we're already having very warm temps
You're killing me Nate! I really like that plane brother man. Hopefully you can show us it flying off the water… That would be fun!
AWESOME and UNIQUE and so is the plane!! STUNT Barbie deserves a shout out!! Thanks Saylors for sharing your experience with honesty!! 💟👍😎
I’m usually not a fan of odd ball planes like this, but I do find this one to be gorgeous.
I can foresee a "fly off", this summer, between the two of you to see who can do the best "float nuts"... dueling with the Paptor H650 and this amazing looking Seawind. The H650 fly's like a toy but it does handle surprisingly well in the water, this could be a close contest.
Can't wait to see this on the water 👍
I saw you review this plane. Thought it was a cool plane but would have spent money on something else. Then I won one at our fly club Christmas dinner. A little difficult to assemble but like you was surprised at the construction and the retracks. After flying it I fell in love. Flies a bit different then most planes but a real blast to fly. Keep up the great reviews.
Because of these videos from the rcsaylors I got into rcs thanks rcsaylors, lots of fun. Keep demos coming.
Great plane and of course another great video from you guys, But Snow in May/June,lol
If the water flight goes well I will buy one through your link. I live on a lake and do 90% of my flying on water but with this the other 10% of the time I can use this plane also.. So cool, can't wait for water review to determine if this is my next plane!!
This would make the perfect, perfect, perfect RC boat!!!
We’ve gotta get this thing on water soon!! 👍💯😎⚓️
I like the look of this 🎉
That plane is very aerodynamic with minimal drag, especially for a seaplane
That’s fair! I just meant in comparison to most other planes that I fly, which are not a lot of sea planes 😉😁👍💯⚓️
@@TheRcSaylors I'm also a pilot and have flew many planes including the seawind, it's a very exceptional seaplane but also rivals non sea planes with its speed and performance and that's remarkable for sea planes, most are flying bricks lol, you and your wife do a awesome job! Keep up the great work! 👍
@@RollingWiththeflow Why would you say the Icon seemed to have failed so badly? I'vd heard it's an exceptional flyer and poor marketing is what palgued it the most...Thanks
@@dougmcpheters1546 the original one was called the seawind, and wasn't talking about the marketing, I was talking about the real planes performance compared to other sea planes, and even other experimental aircraft! It is a very aerodynamic plane irregardless of it being a seaplane
@@RollingWiththeflow
I knoiw what you were taling about. I was asking you about the ICON airplane full scale. Looked like a great plane.
So cool..
I have never seen that one..
Thanks Nate & Abby..❤❤❤
Nicely made aircraft. I am finishing my Rx install and a few minor mod’s (mainly trying to neaten up the wiring. Agree the flaps are not the greatest design, but all else is very nice. Tom
You must fly it off the water! I'm really looking forward to your excellent flights there.
Very interesting. The wings seemed shaped for “ground effect” as they call it. Nice demo! Blessings.
Excellent video as always!!!
Pretty neat plane
Absolutely! Thanks for tuning in! Have a nice weekend 👍💯😎🙏⚓️
I bought that plane when it first came out and it's a blast to have something different. Great water plane. You can put the landing gear down in the water and drive right up the boat ramp. So cool. Model 8vatr did a review if you want to watch it.
I usually don’t like watching other RUclipsrs. I know that sounds weird, but it makes me feel differently than my own original thoughts when I do that. He’s a good guy though and has been nothing but respectful toward us so far and I can’t say the same about most other RUclipsrs. I’ll watch his video after I’ve gotten a few more flights out of mine 👍😁💯⚓️
That looks like a great winter flyer here in Colorado.
The millennium master is one Of my favorite RC planes. Unfortunately it is getting a little beat up, so I would love to see A rerelease.
Cool looking plane. You could have shown it on boat week! 😅. Not crazy about watching a video with snow in the background in May. 😱 Lol. Great video as always guys.
The ower Hobbies Sea Wind is awesome. I also love the Tower Hobbie Millennium Master EP RxR. What a great flying plane. You guys need to try one. It has a perfect bubble canopy cockpit for a camera or FPV unit. If you have tried it y'all need to. Great flying plane at an inexpensive price. Just add a 3s battery and receiver.
Snow? Where are you guys? Alaska? We are almost in June! Hope you get better weather soon!
amazing unique bit of kit
Very well said! Thanks for watching! 👍💯😎⚓️
Congrats on the 600k!
Thank you so much!! 🙏💯⚓️
Looks similar to the FT Sea Otter by Peter Sripol. Gotta maiden mine before the corn gets too tall!
I'll bet that plane has a serious nose down moment with that engine so high above the center line
Great video and review!
I'd love to see a close up of the retract mechanism. Here in the UK I'm scratch building a model with a very similar undercarriage and it'd help me to know how the experts did it.
Thank you !!!
Looks fun to fly !!
This was a blast! Looking forward to flying it again 😁👍💯😎⚓️
I absolutely love this plane!
It needs one more added test. Can it tow a huge banner while in flight?
The one plane ✈️ that can do it all awesome 👏 😊😊😊⚓️⚓️⚓️
It is very cool and well rounded honestly!! Thanks for stopping by famjay! And early for an early release too! 👍💯😎⚓️
@@TheRcSaylors always fun time when the RcSaylors upload 😊😊😊⚓️
FINALLY, something new!
That is cool plane! Seems pretty solid for $280. Very different.
I’m not positive, but I think Tower (through our link) has a sale going on right now too! 👍💯😎⚓️
No telling what video goodies these two have squirelled up.🥜🥜. But, once Nate lands his Pilot's License, you guys need a full scaled Seawind! Babies in the back, Abby in the co-pilot position and away you go!!!
FYI - The 'drooping wingtips' are by design. They are the sponsons of a flying boat, which add stability on water. The Seawind is an interesting, and fun aircraft ! 🙂
Nice video, is it winter where you live now?
It’s almost summer time, but we have had crazy weather where we live. One day it’s 70 degrees Fahrenheit and the next it’s spitting snow!! No kidding! 💯😅⚓️
@@TheRcSaylors Ok thanks
It looks like it has some funky flight characteristics but definitely unique. I'd prefer something like an Albatross or the twin otter for water stuff 🫡
I’m excited to try this off water this summer to see how it does. I’m gonna blame those poor characteristics on the wind. Pretty wild airplane though!! 😅💯😎⚓️
I like it.❕️ it Flys, it will eventually float. It taxi's on land & takes off on water again eventually. Wheels- no Wheels. Maybe barbies litte sister would fit, or some other doll. Cold, but clear day for flying. ⚓️⚓️👍💛🧡💚👍❕️👍⚓️⚓️.
This is a rerelease of an identical plane, retracts, flaps and all. The original did indeed have flaps, and there is film of mine taxiing from land to water for take off and taxiing out of the water after landing on my channel. It is a favorite of mine.
you've got snow on the ground????....its may...where do you live the north pole?lol🤣
This video May have been recorded a few or more weeks ago. Still, the weather has been wild here lately!! 😅💯⚓️
nice! 👍
Nice plane 👌👌👌👌
Is this an older video, or is it that cold in late May?
I have to get one!
This was a Discontinued Plane that Tower brought back and upgraded with the Retracts, The original was a Great Planes ElectriFly Seawind .
Abby and Nate, y'all rock! Love the channel and content. Peace
Thanks Ben! Hope you’re having a nice weekend 👍💯⚓️
👽 .... .. I'm not everybody ! this I like thanks
I had the great planes glow version of this plane. So would love to get this one. Just wish it would fly on my 4s 2200 lipos. So what you think will it work on 4s without burning up?
I know it is a bit more work 😅. But would it be ok for you to also put Links 🔗 in the description for the European 🎉 Volks out here. I am always sad 😢 that only the guys on the other side of the planet kann fly thous awesome Planes ✈️.
Another boring Timber… oh wait! This is from the “other” guys!- sort of. Looks good. How does the drop down rudder take it when used as a wheels up ground skidder?
The flap servo system was the same and not liked much, especially if you need to change it out you have to cut your way into the fuse.
Looks like a plane that I would buy.
But now for the recomendation part if you got time.
I started flying again some years ago after a 25 year break from the hobby. Favorit plane I got is the timber x. But I miss the feeling of haveing a plane that feels heavy and stabil in the air. My biggest problem with planes today is that they feel like they are a feather in the wind. I started with glow engine and balsa that weight a ton compare with these eps planes.
So do you have any recomendation for a plane that feels "heavy" stabil in the air.?
DRACO 2.0 m Smart BNF Basic with AS3X and SAFE Select
A very cool design but not many in the air. Impractical full scale. How to service or even preflight the engine?!? Makes a good RC though.
Anxious to see operation on water.
The engine isn't hard to service at all.
I think they fly better in cold air
They do! However battery performance is generally not as good. Wonder how it really comes out in the end? 🤔💯⚓️
Barbie! Hahahahaha!
That poor Barbie has been through so much! 😂😅🙏💯⚓️
I jusy sold a 12 yr old Great Planes Seawind. (I had 2) now i may sell the other 1 and buy this one, the retract upgrade is a game changer. Id love to see a Rutan design, A Long EZ OR QUICKIE! Done for 4 or 6 cells.
Poor Barbie!
Haha, she has been through so much!! 😂😂😅⚓️
😎💯✌️
🙏😎⚓️
Dear. Plz can u prepair one and shipp it to me at saudi arabia by express method. Cause towerhobby shipp only to USA

I don't think you are getting my point. Please let me explain. The day is fast approaching when users of Full Immersion VR will be able to experience "anything" they wish, and not be able to distinguish the simulator from real life. AI, Quantum Computing, etc. will allow it. Be honest, if we had a "Matrix" style simulator would most people use it? Would they ever get off of it? Are we on it now? How would we know? I would make the case that recent discoveries at CERN point exactly in that direction. Try listening to a lecture by David Tong at the Royal Academy. So, just exactly whose simulator is it. I think his name is Yahweh. Sorry, didn't mean to drag you into that deep of a well. Anyway, as an alternative to foam, I personally prefer building from Balsa, hardwood and fiberglass, and covering and painting the plane. That's not to say I don't own any AFRs. But as I said, I am old school. Shalom/gw
What are you on about Google boy??
I love discussing all perspectives of life, truly. And I love remaining open minded about it all! Who’s to say “I” am right about any of it!? You are definitely on to something googleboy, and yes I believe we are tip toeing toward undistinguishable VR vs real life, though that might be out of my own lifetime my kids could see that day! However I’m not so sure that we are plugged into a matrix right now. I truly believe that most of what we are taught is a lie, or at least a partial truth. I could go on and on about that for weeks on end. However the one thing that keeps me grounded is my faith. Of course we all have our doubts, but it’s the most constant thing in my life that never seems to fail. And I love what it truly means at its core, which is simply to love one another and be grateful for the life we are given. Today, we are Blessed to be here, and to have a chance to share wonderful experiences with one another. 🙏❤️💯✝️⚓️
@squeezablemayonnaise8904 Sorry, it's all about taking the red pill or the blue pill. Each is unsettling. Shalom/gw
@@TheRcSaylors Exactly. Shalom/gw....Christian musical ministry soloist ;))
@@TheRcSaylors Well, that's a bit of a diversion from what your videos are about but I like your response, I think we're pretty much on the same page. Keep up the good works and love to you, Abby and baby
I am sorry. l am old school. I just can't see paying hundreds of dollars for a piece of molded Styrofoam. To me it has no substance. Mark my words however, the day is coming soon when you will "fly" anything you wish, anywhere you wish, with anyone you wish, via a VR headset. And it will appear real! Think about it. Your aircraft could be mapped over any background. If you crash, just hit the reset button. You could fly air combat missions with a virtual team of pilots from anywhere in the world or with your buddies at a local field. Fast forward to full immersion VR suits and it's game on. Brave new world, indeed. Shalom/gw
Without risk, there is no reward. Even in the simulator it's not a quarter of the excitement as you get with flying the real thing, knowing it can smash into several pieces. I would much rather fly home and pay $300 for it then fly in a VR simulator.
I love my video games in the winter when I can’t fly the real thing, and I look forward to one day experiencing better VR than what exists now! Regarding your comment about cost, honestly that’s everything right now isn’t it? I get mad at the grocery store when it’s time to pay. Having said that, what is your alternative to a $300 foam airplane? 🙏💯⚓️
@@TheRcSaylors Good question.
