Excellent review. I have the first version of this plane. It’s a wonderful flyer. However, I do strongly recommend adding an AS3X receiver. The difficulty occurs during takeoff from and landing on water. The wing tip floats have a tendency to drag in the water until the wing develops enough lift, but by having the AS3X receiver it dramatically reduces this effect, and makes it much easier to take off and land from water.

The AR637T he has in it is an AS3X/SAFE Select RX.
