This dish is so colorful and looks delicious. I could almost smell it while you were cooking. 😄 I'm sure I will love it as these are definitely flavors that I enjoy...including the olives. 😉
Just made this and it was soooooo amazingly delicious!!!!! It is now one of my favorites and I can't wait to make it again! All the different flavors blend so well together. I did sub chicken tenderloins for the thighs since we are not fans of dark meat and it worked out great & was super tender. Also doubled up on the spices just because we love a lot of spices. I wasn't sure what artichokes would taste like but they are delicious! I love how the flavor from the chicken broth, wine, and lemon wedges infused into the orzo and just made everything so good. Kudos to you, Sam...this recipe is a masterpiece! Thanks for sharing it. ❤👍👍
Hmm, I don't know what I think about this one. You have SO many delicious recipes that I love that it would be hard to NOT cook one of those and try this. I have yet to try your stew. Right now I have about 3 more days of your chili left and as many days of your crock pot BBQ chicken. Perhaps one of these days I will give this a try.
Sam, this sounds delicious. I might try it with some of the fish my husband brought back from Canada rather than the chicken. I think that would be delicous as well. My husband detests olives as well so that will be left out. Thanks!
Great idea, I'll have to go get some small bottles of wine for cooking! I have the same aversion to Kalamata olives but my husband doesn't like them either. My thing I do for love is add mushrooms to pizza, I am not a fan of them (it's a texture thing, I think) but he likes them.
Wow, that looks SO good!!! I can't wait to make this, but could you tell me what artichokes taste like?? Not sure if I've ever had them before, but definitely would like to try them. Thanks. ❤👍
I recommend that you try cooking your chicken thighs a little longer at least once. Not necessarily for this recipe, but just in general. Actually, you’re going to cook them a lot longer. I preheat a cast iron pan, add a few teaspoons of vegetable oil throw down the chicken, put a bacon weight on top of them and go watch TV. When I hear that them almost stop sizzling, I go in and flip them and put the weight back on top. You will need to scrape them off the pan with a metal spatula, but that’s fine because you will have an amazing crust on one side now. This could take 20 minutes or so do it right. Chicken thighs can be cooked for a very long time because they have so much fat in them. I’ll probably cook the second side for another 15 minutes or so. This accomplishes a few things. It make the thighs less rubbery, almost like white meat. If you do it right, they are still perfectly juicy. You develop a thin, fried, crunchy crust just from the interaction of the chicken and oil on the cast iron. Finally, I think that it concentrates the flavor of the chicken. I use Slap Ya Mamma seasoning on the chicken when it goes in the pan and a little more possibly after it comes out and that’s perfection. You will have to experiment with time and temperature, but it’s worth it when you finally nail down the perfect combination. Excellent video, Sam. I’m really enjoying these savory fall recipes!!!
I know you will come up with good recipe many thanks Sam may you be bless always with your family much appreciated
That looks super delicious and healthy, yum 😃 I'm definitely making this soon, thanks.
I hope you love it! :)
I buy cheap white wine and freeze it in ice cube trays to use later. It’s a lot less per ounce than those tiny bottles.
That's a great idea! :)
That's a great idea!

I’m so glad you enjoyed it so much! 😊
This was so good. I also picked out my olives that taste hasn’t grown on me with age.
I don't think it will ever grow on me! I'm glad you enjoyed it. :) :)
Love it & it looks delish !!!
Thank you 😋
I'm with Sam's hubby. Kalamata olives are the best, especially in pasta and focaccia!
He'll eat them all before they make it to the dish if I let him! 🤣
I love orzo - I can't wait to make this!

Thank you...appreciate it.

You're welcome! I hope you love it! :)
I like that you are real and don't edit your video like mistakes never happen 😊
Thank you! :)

I hope you love it! I'm also not a big fan of mushrooms. If I can avoid them in dishes I do, my husband eats all of those too.
Wow, that looks SO good!!! I can't wait to make this, but could you tell me what artichokes taste like?? Not sure if I've ever had them before, but definitely would like to try them. Thanks. ❤👍
Hmmm I would say they have a "wood-y" flavor with a little bit of bitterness. :)
No case of the Mondays today, Sam's here!!!
☺️
Love all those veggies!!😅
Thank you! Enjoy! :)
Hi Sam how are you this looks good I’m going to make this I’m Laura❤

That sounds awesome! I will have to try it sometime. :)
Are you using boneless or bone-in chicken?
I used boneless, but you could use bone-in if you'd like. :)
you can always freeze the wine in bags for cooking
i have a good recipe idea for you to make hamade resses infused ice cream cake
What about buying cooking Sherry, which is delish for cooking many dishes
That could work.
