Frontier Defense is my new favorite mode, I'm not a fan of mostly PvP modes, so I've been sticking to Attrition, but I've been enjoying this mode so far, Rise feels like it was made specifically for this.
3 words. Monarch is god. My monarch is aegis rank 11 she can shred through everyone. And I really recommend use Nuke Rodeo. You put a bomb in a titan and he explodes like a nuke eject and kills every other titans. So basically use it when theres a group of titans and you will kill them ALL!
How does it work? Do you steal the battery, jump back on, and THEN put the nuke in, the same way you'd use the grenades? Or do you just straight up put it in?
jovanni carlos you can buy a bunch. I had 5 once. pretty good chains with it. I usually don't call my titan till wave 3, I run around the map with stim attacking mortars, fresh dropped titans and infantry. use the devotion with any sidearm, use archer, use tone or scorch, go to town. also get angled weapons at the end of wave 1 to be best pilot of all the pilots, and if you want to help your team go rodeo some titans, then take it to your friendly titans. this game is so dope now, I loooooove iiiiiit
Iniquity, something I learned from playing Frontier defense yesterday... Use your Titanfalls offensively. If you drop your titan on an enemy titan you destroy it almost instantly. There were so many situations in this game where you were firing your archer at a group of titans, got your titanfall and then proceeded to drop your Ronin like a mile away from them. Drop your Ronin right on top of them when they are so clustered! :D
INIQUITY THE FIRE KING IS BACK I MEAN?! I HAVEN'T DROPPED BELOW 9 TITAN KILLS IN ALL THE TB MATCHES I'VE PLAYED SINCE THE UPDATE DROPPED! Okay real talk, people are gonna start crying for a nerf. I mean seriously Scorch is terrifying now, Not because he's OP, but because he actually stands a chance in a fight now and that combined with the potential damage he can deal means that he's properly powerful and you HAVE to pay attention to him now. The wildfire launcher kit makes your shots hurt like hell, especially if they burn after the initial hit, but Tempered plating also means relentless assault from him and true area domination. It also doesn't help that because scorch was such a non-threat to practically everyone, Nobody has really learnt how to fight him. I mean, yeah the general consensus was keep your distance but now he has a Viable ranged weapon that can actually do a fuck tonne of damage if it connects and will DPS the shit out of you if it catches on your feet. So now Papa is in a very strong place but NOBODY knows how to effectively fight him and that means he's OP in a sense. I'm expecting a cry for a nerf pretty soon but honestly my message to the community is this. Don't do that, learn how to play against him. He's strong now, he's a threat. Not just a meme anymore, but he's not unbeatable. .....but seriously he will wreck your shit. He can wreck your teams shit. Prioritise him, or the Monarch. One of the two. Mystery Gamer His very design is annoying. That cant really be helped, its like how Snipers are hated in games for the long range OHK yet its fair because they suck at close and medium range. Ronin sucks at mid and long range but is very strong up close plus has several abilities that can deny the success of other abilities. He's fair, but annoying as fuck. The only time he's unfair is when theres two ronins, then you're fucked no matter what. Also they arent all balanced, scorch is still below the competitive bar mainly because of his ammo count. All his other abilities are perfect right now, he has a role and he can fulfill it but he has no reliable back up when his role isnt applicable in the current situation. Straight up fights nearly always end in his death. Still, much more viable now.
One guy needs to take down reapers and mortars straight away. Nice game, it is nice to watch someone else and see how I myself make some mistakes or where I do better. I would like to watch more of frontier defence from you Iniguity.
After playing for a bit I've found that satchels are the best ordnance. At the beginning you can just throw one satchel into a group of infantries and then run. Also, if you lose your Titan the you just find the inevitable group of 10 titans and throw a couple satchels in there and get your Titan back easy. You might want to have a Ronin on your team with the sword that does more damage as he will be able to two-shot melee reapers. That's what I've found so far :)
This game mode is so fun and yet very relaxing, just what I needed after a long day of work. I hope more features are added to Frontier Defense like more tool variety from the vendor, more Titan upgrades from Aegis Ranks, enemy types, skins, and of course maps.
@iniquity hey man us Robin mains gotta work together so I'm here to give you some killer advise to get maximum damage output with little reprocusions for it. First you need an extra dash for emergencies. Second you need double arc wave (the wave stuns every time) and you need to use your cores more. Lastly, time your attacks with arch traps. Most of the time Robin is at a disadvantage if he strikes head on, an arc trap does 5-8% damage as well as a guarantee stun meaning if you time your strikes with the arch traps you can double-tripple your DPS from this vid using this set up- LOVE YOU MAN AND PREPARE FOR TITAN FALL!!!

After playing a few games of Frontier Defense, I have this to say. Every team NEEDS at least one Scorch. Enemies come at you in large hordes, and Scorch's AOE is perfect for managing them. Also, Thunderbolt, Inequity. Thunderbolt. When those gaggles of titans start showing up, you'll be grateful for it.
Normal seemed a bit easy and got me worried at first but hard proved to be a completely different story. The first round I had with randoms we lost, the second when I had a friend with me, we managed to barely make it without restarts at 4% :D Insane must look literally like a zerg rush.
@iniquity, playing FD yesterday, I found out that if monarch has the battery steal execution and a pilot rodeos the titan right before the animation starts, you can pull 2 batteries at once. It was a funny moment for us because it the execution finished as I was jumping off. Also smr is a titan shredder whn amped.

Getting a battery from the first Titan is a must if you ask me Only issues is a lot of people just try to blow em up when you're rodeoing, and for some reason every now and then Auto Titans have the aim of a god, so you have to jump on them from an area just barely above them or from an immediate corner

Iniquity, can you recommend Respawn to do a crossover platform, only for Frontier Defense? I know that for multiplayer is imposible due the benefits that PC player have, for FD will be very nice make your squad with your friends of others platforms, and also will grow up the population.
Jaren Urey which platforms can you choose out of i play on pc the game is greatly optimised ( friend with gtx 750ti and 4gb and i5 4460 can run this at 60 fps medium) The playerbase has tripled in numbersnow around 7000 in my region (amsterdam) And on the consoles there are even more players and the framerate is really good on both consoles with a dynamic resolution scaler it can drop very rarely to 52 fps. barely noticeable
Pelle Sanders Dynamic resolution has been put in place for higher frame rates so it goes 1000-1080p but it stays at 60 fps most of the time on the PS4, I've never had any lag

Iniquity, can you recommend Respawn to do a crossover platform, only for Frontier Defense? I know that for multiplayer is imposible due the benefits that PC player have, for FD will be very nice make your squad with your friends of others platforms, and also will grow up the population.

Jaren Urey which platforms can you choose out of i play on pc the game is greatly optimised ( friend with gtx 750ti and 4gb and i5 4460 can run this at 60 fps medium)
The playerbase has tripled in numbersnow around 7000 in my region (amsterdam)
And on the consoles there are even more players and the framerate is really good on both consoles with a dynamic resolution scaler it can drop very rarely to 52 fps. barely noticeable
Pelle Sanders Dynamic resolution has been put in place for higher frame rates so it goes 1000-1080p but it stays at 60 fps most of the time on the PS4, I've never had any lag

1. Can you have more than one Aegis upgrade equipped? Would I be able to have them all equipped once I reach rank 20?
2. Where is the Double XP at? Is it for all modes? How long will it last?
3. How long will the sales for the bundles last? The pilot warpaint pack is 37% off, the Titan pack is 28% off, the Prime Titan bundle is 33% off, and the Angel City/Colony/Monarch's Reign bundles are 35% off.
i feel i should mention that the bundles aren't actually on sale, the % offs are just showing how much you save by buying a bundle instead of everything separately.
