  • Is your dishwasher making a horrible high pitched noise?
Well if it is, then this video is for you and I’ll show you how to fix your Samsung DW80J7550UG/AA Dishwasher.
It could be a multitude of things. I’ll take care of the troubleshooting part for you and point you in the right direction so you can stop hand-washing dishes and let the dishwasher do the work for you.
    We’ll go over…
    Cleaning the dishwasher screen.
    Pulling your dishwasher out.
    Removing the drain pump.
    Replacing the drain hose.
Hopefully one of these fixes will get you back on track. Thanks for checking it out!

thanks very much. By following your instructions I got into the pump from inside the dishwasher and found a little piece of plastic wrap that was plugging things up. Boy are there a lot of screws in there!

That’s great Andrew! I’m glad it helped you and you were able to fix your dishwasher! We use ours all the time (as you do) and there is always something going on with them. Great job again and thanks for letting me know! I appreciate the comment and support Andrew!

Excellent video. Thanks very much for walking us through the possibilities. I followed your sequence of events and was prepared to go all the way. Interestingly, my screw driver would not dummy the switch! Once I let the water wall run its cycle, I got the water coming in and reset to get the drainage as you suggested. Before pulling the dishwasher, I rechecked the filter, pulled the screen etc... and took a close look at the cavity. Low and behold I found a wooden toothpick lodged and half buried. Got it out and ran the dishwasher. Guess what - all good! Your video and a few other shorter ones just saved an expensive tech support visit/bill to remove a toothpick!!

Thanks so awesome Mike! That’s exactly why I wanted to do this! Even if I just helped one person, that’s good for me. I appreciate you so much leaving this comment and supporting my channel. I hope you have a great day my friend and I’ll talk with you later!

This worked, thank you! The culprit was a toothpick in the pump. Unfortunately the armored cable/romex that houses my wires was insanely small - after pulling the dishwasher out of the cabinet we had to re-fish the wires back through it which completely bent the crap out of the metal frame on the wiring box. A little uglier than when we started but that's ok :)

Drewba! Well done my friend! Glad you got your dishwasher fixed. Isn’t it funny how something as small as a toothpick could cause that? Anyhow, great job and way to save a few bucks. And don’t worry about the wires and box. It happens all of the time! As long as the wires are exposed causing an electrical failure and the beauty plate can install ok, you’re good to go! Thanks again for the feedback. Love hearing these, seriously :)

Tiffany! Sucks it’s making that noise, but great that you found this. Make sure you just check the trap. Most likely you can grab whatever is in there and pulling it out. Good luck and thanks again for the support and comment!

    Great video, much appreciated!!
My question is how the 2 pieces of debri get past the filter screen. Those were both relatively larger pieces, much bigger than screen holes.
Mine just started the same noise today… I have a much better path to check & correct.

      @StoneyCreekSparkchaser  Год назад

Hey thanks for coming by Doug! So if you take a look at the screen and that round coke shape part that fits in there, you’ll see how those bigger chunks could get in there. I think what happened for me is that a chop stick and straw got loose and just so happened to drop in that bigger opening hitting the motor blade. Since I found that, I find myself every week just taking those sort and seeing if anything is in there. Since the video it’s been clear, so it must of been a fluke. Either way. I think you can easily remove whatever debris is in there by just removing the screen and seeing inside. I had to take mine all of the way out because of how far it “chunked” those prices up because I let it go too long :) good luck in your fix my friend and again, I appreciate you leaving a comment. Hope it helped

Awesome Dave! I wish you luck! Make sure and check that screen at the bottom to see if you can grab whatever is in there out and save you the headache of going underneathe. Sometimes it’s that easy and you can avoid a lot of work. Sorry this is a late response as well, sometimes RUclips doesn’t notify me when a message comes through. Anyhow, good luck and let me know how it goes!

Thanks for making this. Mine started making the same noise a few days ago and I kind of shrugged it off. Yesterday started getting the LC code that the dishwasher was detecting a leak in the bottom. Opened it up and there was some water below, took the pump off and didn’t see anything inside. Drain hose looks good too. Screens inside were both pretty covered though so cleaned them. Will update if problem is fixed.

Hey Matt! Thanks for writing this and I hope you can find the problem. I was lucky and was able to find junks hitting the pump which mad that sound. I find myself cleaning that out monthly now (never did in the past). Let me know what you can find. I’ve had nothing but issues with Samsung it seems

    How to remove top rack?

Abdul, I’m pretty sure you just pull it out and lift as you go. Or there might be a tab on each side to more then pull it out. I think it’s pretty easy.
