Our Dad Lawrence Williams had a Heart Transplant at Sheffield Northern General xx This is very close to our HEARTS as a family xx Our darling Dad passed away in 2018 breaking our HEARTS xx Without the Transplant we would have had 15 more years without him xx He will be forever in our HEARTS and always engraved on the steel HEART xx Thank you for this wonderful idea and giving us this opportunity for his name to be kept forever xx
I look forward to seeing my mum's name engraved on the Heart Of Steel. My mum was a doctor and started her career in Sheffield at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital. She died when I was 2yrs old in 1974. I never got to know my mum, I don't really have any memories of her. This will serve as a lasting memory for me, and for anyone who knew her. Recently in Sheffield, I spent a night photographing the city, I thought Sheffield was still a great city, with lovely people.
I Love this idea We wanted to put Dads name on the heart for Father’s Day and to know his name will always be there. Dad passed away eleven years ago with heart decease leaving the whole family devastated. Who would have thought years later Mum would have died unexpectedly with a massive heart attack. Such a shock to everyone considering we never knew she had a heart problem. To us this is a tribute to them both amongst hundreds of others. To all the people involved Thank You what a wonderful thing to do.
What an extraordinary project which commemorates the heart of the region and globally who participate and those who come to see The Steel Man with a heart full of names. I hope a book becomes available with all the stories contained. I simply cannot watch this without tearing up. Excellent video. I have nothing but the deepest respect for all who are making this happen!
Hang on, that guy put his son’s name on just because he loves him? If all parents did that, it would need to be the size of a mountain! It’s meant for people who died of heart conditions!!! Like my father. It’s not a claim to fame ffs!

Great project Thank you
I don't understand how any asshole could thumb this video down. My dad died from a heart attack in May, I'm having his name etched onto the heart.
