Hello friends☺️ Thank you for your encouragement, prayers and for helping out our friends and neighbors here in WNC🙏🙏🙏 There are areas doing really well, and some that are on the road to recovery, but will take much more time. Donations and supplies have poured in, but now the issues moving forward are rebuilding infrastructure, roads, homes, etc. , and people are working hard to make things happen. I had decorated most of the porch before the storm, so I wanted to get it cleaned up so we can enjoy it. We needed to harvest the pumpkins and gourds, which I used for the porch. (We eat only the candy roasters.) I’ve never had the back porch decorated for fall, but I had made pillow covers in the summer and wanted to enjoy this season out there. No matter what, always find the beauty and enjoy the moments of peace where you can❤️❤️❤️
Beautiful video. Your home is gorgeous and so inviting and cozy. I cannot imagine the sadness and stress and shock our fellow Americans are going through. I pray for comfort and healing.
I was unable to respond to your video of the storm damage, but I am so glad you and your family are okay. Our continued prayers for those who have lost and endured so much. God is good and we were able to see His work in all the ways people have responded to help those in need. I believe God intended for people to be there for people, not the government! No soapbox today, just heartfelt thanks for the beauty that has and will emerge from the ashes. I love your porch, especially how you have divided the eating area from the seating area with those sheers. That is beautiful! I'm assuming that was a side or back porch. Your front porch is beautiful also, as is the place where you live. I love how you refer to your father as "Daddy". That's what I called my dad and I am glad you still have yours. Godly parents are priceless!
Hi, Anita! It’s so good to see you moving forward although there have been such devastating circumstances surrounding you and your community, Truly inspiring sweet friend. You know, I always adore your videos. They bring so much calm to my spirit. I’ve been in a whirlwind of anxious feelings as my son’s wedding approaches. I have one week to prepare, to get my home ready for family I have not seen in years. Seeing your beautiful porch has inspired me And also reminded me that I can make beautiful things from the things that I have around me. Thank you so much for being here and taking the time to your beautiful videos.
I appreciate that so very much sweet friend! I am sure everything is going to be wonderful as you prepare for the wedding! It’s definitely not easy to move forward because there’s still so much heartbreak right here in our own community that we’re just finding out about. I want to help everyone and get housing for those in tents, but I so helpless, except for supporting the efforts alongside so many others. But there are so many positive things happening, and we’re all trying to keep those in view🙏🙏🙏
I’ve been remembering your Daddy in my prayers, as I recall him on the tracker in your last video. All that work and added stress, I was a little concerned for him. Your porch looks beautiful.
Oh to walk in those beautiful pines... to see the changing leaves... and pick potatoes with Daddy. Life is so good. The dappled sunlight on your beautiful fall porch looks like the perfect place for a quiet respite . Your mix of pattern and color on the pillows is gorgeous. Your harvest of tumbling pumpkins and gourds is pure magic. The peaceful tranquility on your face with the cup of coffee looks like heaven!
Thank you for this lovely, peaceful video. I loved it! You always find the perfect music and poetry. I’m glad to see your porch looking beautiful and inviting, and it was awesome to see that your scarecrow survived the storm! My prayers continue for you and your family, and everyone affected by Helene. 🙏💚💛🧡🙏
Just lovely! I am happy you are doing well after such a tragedy in your area. I am in Northern California and I have always had a special place in my heart for the Northern Carolina Appalachian area...so devastating.❤
Your porch is beautiful and so are you. It's nice to see your smiling face. North Carolina is near and dear to me and has been since I was a little girl from Florida camping in Cherokee. I was smitten and knew I had to at least live close by. My husband and I moved to Tennessee in 1995 and we visit as much as we can. My heart breaks when I see videos showing the devastation.
I enjoy watching you I love the things you say and I also love the way you decorate see you in the next one my friend yes I do believe in Hope see you next time my friend 🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️
You are such a talented person! I love your use of patterns. I recently watched a four-part series about a woman and her husband who were helping a relative furnish a new home. The results were not very good. The LR furniture was shoved against the walls, and the sofa and chairs were so far apart that you would have to shout to talk to each other. And in the middle of the LR, they put this very small kid-themed throw rug. Black leather furniture and a fake very dark wood floor. Not cozy or aesthetically pleasing like yours.

Your videos take away the stress and worries of the day. I have to stop and thank God for all the beauty He has created.
