I go a hour before closing, sauna seems to be where they say the most. I’ve heard some guys spend 4-6 hours a day at the gym, go to multiple gyms a day. Just find the gym hopping weird, I do socialize, by seeing new faces other than my coworkers

To be honest that does not sound that bad of an idea. I'm not much of an extrovert but it's not so easy meeting new people as you get older.
@@abbynormalz I get what you are saying and I agree, once you are no longer in school it's difficult to connect with people to that level, but I've been managing gyms for years and i can assure you it is a terrible idea to socialize at gyms because of 2 reasons,
- someone who is there to actually workout is the type of person that puts on headphones so no one talks to them. They won't be rude if anyone talks to them, but they definitely rather to be left alone.
- a big chunk of the gym demographic is highly unstable people, they might not show it in a simple conversation, but trust me it starts showing eventually. It is a very good rule of thumb that the better shape someone is, the more he/she is trying to overcompensate for something, there is exceptions ofc, it's not every case, but there is an undeniable pattern and this is just the tip of the iceberg, matter of fact, have you heard that thing about not dating anyone you met at a bar or club? Well you can safely add gyms to that list.
Now if you are looking to meet new people I would recommend any team sport instead of a gym, they are already used to having to interact with a lot of people and they are good working in teams, so that is already miles ahead of a gym rat.

I only started going to the gym this month and it's been really nice everyone there is so nice and supportive
my one complaint is that some people throw the weights to the ground and the noise always gives me a jumpscare other than that no one has bothered me they're all super chill
For now. Get big enough and you'll get it. It's like gym bros like gals whatever floats your boat but I do think girls avoid each other. When they see you long enough and your eyeballs meet enough times that makes you bros and the unhinged bros won't leave you alone like once you meet someone that prefers to talk than lift he will suck you in his world and if you are serious enough and suddenly someone is talking your ears off you will be annoyed that I guarantee you like no matter how nice you are it will occur to you that gym is a place of training and not idle chatter that takes 5-10 mins EACH topic.

The only time I am okay with people speaking to me for a while is if they're a regular and they've been there to encourage me or help me before. It's hard not to speak to people sometimes though.
