The courts and the States need to make this behavior a minimum mandatory sentence of ten years imprisoned and if kill someone running from the police you will get life without parole.

I agree. Endangering road users over a property crime is downright ridiculous. That one SUV was alert enough to swerve out of the way, but that was a mighty risky PIT. What I don't get is they have so many units in the chase, why can't a couple of them hang back and slow the traffic so the PIT can be done more safely.
Unless you have a 500-600hp vehicle, your not getting away. They have radios and a much bigger squad. The odds are terrible for a high speed chase escape. These criminals are bonified idiots.
If you want to see a really good chase , search for Brazil motorcycle chases. The police are on cycles and are chasing cycles. There is one that is really intense.
They did have to rewrite their policy on using the PIT after paying a settlement from one. Guess that was just for show though as it is still their go too.
