People are acting like we can't just plug it off if it inconveniences us. My foremost worry is people, who will probably use it as a scapegoat, when we should all know that sentience is far from being achieved. If it does anything wrong or bad, it was programmed to do so. There is no AI yet.
@@ritishify It is a tool. Problem is most people don't seem to mind, mindless "art" autogenerated. As you say, the dangerous vector is the way people throw themselves into it. Like Mckenna said, a machine is just a drug too big to swallow, and they have their best people working on that.
@@who-nobody-never It would seem the judicial system in the US is targeting "technological issues" in recent years. It would surprise me if these companies got away with anything "sneaky" for too long before getting caught. I say: let them have fun. I don't believe in karma, but a particular set of actions and behaviors will lead to a particular set of outcomes; the truth always comes out. I'm just a layman and I can infer as much as I do, imagine people who fight injustice for a living, what they must be fighting against... quite unimaginable, actually, but I'm optimistic that such people exist and that all the information humanity has gathered up to this point won't be for nothing.
@@ritishify Most these major tech corps had darpa/intel foundations. Webb has done some good "journalism'(collected existing research) about that. They are just playing footsie.
