LOVE IT. Sad to hear the hair isn't the best but I'm not too surprised since Mattel has been pretty cheap with it lately. I'm just astounded they decided not to really go all out for their first wave getting the license back. I would love to see Mattel expand on the sculpts with new paint down the line for sure. THE REPAINTS AND STYLES ARE GREAT. Literally if we got them on articulated bodies and actual clothing I feel people would be a little less critical but we'll see when Mattel makes more deluxe dolls.
Think mattel is hitting a negative in the pocketbooks but that my opinion.
It's Mattel we're talking about, unless it's Barbie or Monster High, they don't care about anything else.
You're right Tiana's face sculpt is stunning , definitely the best one of hers I've seen. I might get her despite the quality just because Tiana is my favourite princess and I've never seen a doll face sculpt I liked.
Amazing how much more accurate they look with the few tweaks you made!

I find it so weird how they keep giving aurora pink lipstick, tan skin and golden hair. When she had pale skin, platinum hair and red lips, lol

@@theycallmeobsessed Totally agree that the face sculpts are nice, but such a shame about the molded on tops and lack of articulation. Let's hope we get some upper end Disney dolls from Mattel.

WOW! They all turned out so much better after the customization. Honestly that's what I was originally hoping and expecting when Mattel took back the license. I do like these face sculpts much more than the Hasbro ones.
I loved all the changes, you really gave them justice, wish they actually looked like this, i’d love to see how you fix up the rest of the princesses

Wow they look amazing, love what you did with their faces, the sculps help a lot but you made them looks exactly like their animation counterparts. Thank you for telling us what bodies you used!

I’m sure Aurora will work out eventually 💪 with a bit of a darker rose 🌹 lip , the older Mattel dress that already looks stunning (but I can guess you have an even better one?) some straw curls (maybe use the wreck it Ralph as reference? Her lil bang could look good in a rose shaped curl like in that movie) she’ll need lighter eyebrows, bigger and purple eyes and whatnot, she’ll slay. Can’t wait to see it!

Even though the bodies are similar to Hasbro, they're an improvement and the faces definitely are! I love them! (especially Pocahontas and Aurora!) :D

Yes to Belle and Elsa, not sure about Mulan, I think most people prefer Rapunzel over her
I may disagree about Mulan (although I started liking her more when I became an adult). Ariel is my absolute favorite. I think she also gained more popularity because the fact she is one of the few princesses (along with Rapunzel) that got her own TV Series (I've watched the series in the 90s, waaay before I watched the movie). Oh and she also had a comic books series 🥰 I think Disney loves her a lot lol

@@h_stefany88 Good choice! Although Belle and Cinderella were my top 2, Ariel is also one of my fave as well! Enjoyed her TV series, her red hair is just a glam of the Ocean, plus just like Cinderella, she didn't sacrificed for a man, but to explore human's world. Plus, there were amazing stuffs that adults might not know, and she finally proved to her father that not all the humans were bad. If she hadn't appeared, there wouldn't have been more princesses with bigger dreams and power. That's why I think Everybody in the world loves her so much.
P.S : Disney would love Ariel so much, because EVERYONE loves her too!
My top 4 are Ariel, Belle, Snow White and Rapunzel 😃 I also really like Moana and Anna. Mulan is cool but definitely not one of my favorites

The style of their faces is not it for me. It's giving Barbie and MH G2. The Disney Store dolls are superior. 6:30 The older Aurora is so gorgeous. Your repaints are fantastic! Tiana is my favourite 😍

In my opinion, her tattoos are an integral part of her Powhatan Heritage, Fashion History, & Character Design. 🍂 Lmk if you add the tattoos back!
**Though Pocahontas is the only Disney Princess to be based on a historical figure, she is only very loosely based on her. Disney has seemed to use the real Pocahontas only as loose inspiration rather than an homage to her life with the main parts only kept the same were the names used, ethnicity, and geographic location. In doing so, Disney effectively turned the historic Pocahontas into their own original character while writing an alternative account of history and historic-figures.
As of 2014, the state of Virginia has recognized eight Powhatan Indian-descended tribes in Virginia. 🍂 Hope that helps ~ Paul Kapow

Buy the limited edition Disney store dolls. I feel like I’m paying for what I used to get as a child. Dolls when I was a child yeah their face sculpts sometimes looked botched but so much detail went into their dresses/all fabric not all plastic.
I will say I have slightly disagree, the last budget Hasbro tiana in the royal shimmer line was the best tiana face we've gotten imo

Well... of course they'll look better after redoing the whole thing almost from zero. Still don't see any improvement from Hasbro to Mattel other than some facemolds like Tiana's.

Mattel has always had the best sculpts. Like you, I'm surprised that Mattel didn't go all out on the fashions. Not a big fan of the molded on tops. Part of learning fashion play is taking the clothes off and changing them with other dolls. I designed for Mattel Toys for 6 years, specifically for Disney Princess and I always disliked when I had to settle for molded on clothes. Fortunately, I got the higher priced doll assignments in which we had a few more pennies to spend. Disney takes a big royalty for their licenses and that's why the dolls from other companies look inexpensive and their Disney Store dolls are so much more posh.

Tbh though there dolls aren't exactly amazing either, you would think a multi billion dollar company would have no issue in making an exact replicas of there Disney Princesses they just don't put enough effort into it.
Maybe they just continue what Hasbro did.

i agree 90s pocahontas is best i re body my river band pocahontas from 90s i use the store body when i did my 1 rebody doll i am planning rebuying nakoum and rebody her and i have 97 swimming ariel still in box i am also planning rebody 1 edtion 90s pocahontas doll to i do like new ariel face though

Lovely faces. I specially like the Ariel one, I hope I get her. I like the fact she is looking straight ahead, and not a side glance as usual. Your makeover made her look even better.
But I hate the proportions of the bodies. Look like based on Wi-Fi Ralph's princesses versions. The faces are cartoon acurate, not the body.
I also hate the sculpted bodices. I wish they had given cheap fabric dresses, it would be better, and also the bodies could be used for other Barbie like doll heads, after we swapped the princesses heads. But these bodies can't be reused in other dolls, they would look weird 😓

No me gusta la escultura tan plana, tan recta de los cuerpos de las princesas Mattel, como odio ese cuerpo desde que Mattel lo usa en Barbie, esto debe parar.
Las chicas Disney tienen un cuerpo muy lindo, delgado y con cintura bastante chiquita, lo que le hace elegancia al vestido. Si MGA hiciera estás muñecas, definitivamente veríamos un cambio radical en el cuerpo y la calidad del producto
I won't even consider buying a doll with painted/sculpted clothes🤢 Unfortunately, Mattel's quality is absolutely garbage at this point. The quality, technology and value peaked in the 90's. However, you're repaints are very nice!
I hate the bodice sculpts. Just make the whole dress and make their bodies like regular barbie bodies.
Yeah. Even simple dresses made of cheap fabric would be better than these molded plastic bodices :( Even dollar store princess dolls come with removable dresses (I've seen an Ariel with a lovely peasant dress once lol almost got the doll for the Dress).
