I did the LS 1 brake conversion on my 92 Camaro but I made sure my brake line was on top of my brake vs the bottom like you did for bleeding reasons

Anything is better than the factory brakes. Since my pads have broken in, the braking power is sooooo much better!

Just to be correct, the only reason you used a spacer is because of your rims are based off a corvette spacing? I plan to do this to my drag car after my 17” wheels show up

Yes the only reason I run a spacer is to adapt to my wheels. It really didn't have anything to do with the brakes. It just gave me lots of clearance to the caliper. 17" will be close, I have 18" rims. I went with the c6 z51, u could also run standard c6 brakes which are just a tiny bit smaller

I had to use a 1” spacer because my XXR 18x 9” wheel hit my steering control arm

Are you sure those are 13in rotor. When I look up c5 Corvette breaks. 12in is what pops up?

@geomonge4230 they are like 12.8 and it's the z51 package I believe. It was the performance option for C6 not C5

I've got A 83 firebird v8 base Manual trans. T tops. power nothing. it's A factory heater car.
It weighs 3199 full of gas. So with me its 3450,ish.
    Anyway, I have 235 60 15s. (grandprix)
and it locks up every time, under hard braking.
My Questions are my tires too narrow?
Just bad tires? Is there A size that prevents lock up?
Not sure when or if these cars ever got ABS.
but I do not have ABS.

Brakes will generally overpower tires everytime. But wider tires will help. Could be a brake proportioning issue where the rears are locking up first

@@EssMotorsports I put A Wilwood adjustable proportioning valve on it.
      and its fairly balanced.
but usually its the front now.

You have the passenger side caliper on the driver side. The bleeder screw should always be on top, not bottom. Air rises which is why the bleeder is on top.

    • @EssMotorsports

?? No they are on the correct side. Bleeders are facing up. If they weren't I wouldn't have brakes, and they work awesome with the C6 upgrade!
